I felt quite thirsty these few days after recovering from my gastric flu. I didn't really cared so much but every time after i pee, my urine seems to be yellower than usual but there were no ants. On the other hand, the frequency of me going to the toilet did not increase, it actually decreases. Can someone tell me whether this is diabetes symptoms?

My new pump will be here today (after a month of red tape and paperwork to get it). I'm retiring my 508 and upgrading to a 722.

For others out there who use this pump, do you like it? Also, if any of you use the CGM, how does that work for you? I won't be getting that right now but I hope to after the first of the year.

My 508 is just old and wearing out. I've had it for 8 years. I decided to go with the 722 because of it's insulin capacity and that I've been happy with Minimed.

Opinions? Thanks!

And was handed a glucose monitor kit with instructions
to taking a reading twice daily...
The kit which is nice, only contains enough 'test strips'
for 5 days worth of readings...
I am guessing I must get these strips at a pharmacy,
but do I need a prescription to get them?
Thanks!

My cat has diabetes and so far we haven't found anything that could help him. My mother won't go back to the vet so we don't know where his blood sugar is at right now, it was very high the last time we were there, but right now we don't know. His neropathy is pretty bad and they say that B12 methalcobolomen helps with the neropthy. Can anyone suggest anything?

My mother has a foot wound in her heel that's approximately one inch deep. She has type 1 diabetes and insists on walking, despite her condition.

She has no social vices and keeps her diabetes under control, but she's nearing three years with this wound and wants to know if there's anything she can do to make it heal that doesn't require six months of bed rest?

For the record, since many questions like this need more information. I am 21 years old, male, weigh 310 pounds, and am 6'1". My build is.....fat I guess. Maybe obese. I don't know, I have never been diagnosed as obese. And in case this may have something to do with this, I am 1/4 Italian, 1/4 Spanish, 1/4 German, and 1/4 Irish.

I'm not diabetic.....or at least I don't think I am, but one of my friends has type 2 diabetes and he doesn't seem to be doing anything about it. He never checks his blood sugar (I'm NOT diabetic and I check mine) or anything of that sort.

Also, on another note, though I haven't been diagnosed with diabetes, there is a history of it on my mother's side of the family and on top of that, I am over 100 pounds overweight. Just my size alone puts me at risk for the disease.

I have a friend who is a very bad alcholic and he keeps saying he wants to goto detox hes attempted to go 2 times this week but didn't go through with it the whole way. He went today and they checked his blood alchol content and it was 3.36. Is there any suggestions on how I can get him to go and stay and get dried out before he ends up killing himself. I am very frusterated with him and I don't want to turn my back on a friend but I can't sit and watch him do this to himself. Any suggestions?
