Whoa...that is a BIG mistake.

Go to the ER...and hurry. Humaog is a fact acting insulin and you will likely find yourself with a rapidly dropping blood sugar.

Don't feel embarassed...you're not the only person to make such a mistake.

You will need monitoring for several hours and regular blood sugar checks. Go NOW...don't wait. Even better, call an ambulance. Tell them you took an accidental overdose of Humalog...that you meant to take Lantus. This is serious...your life could be threatened. Don't wait.

Hurry to the ER, humalog is fast acting insulin, if you took 2 doses, you might die. Dont take any other insulin. Check your blood sugar, drink orange juice, soda, etc, to get your sugars back up while waiting for ER or ambulance. This is a big mistake on your part (we are human, after all) but dont compound that by not calling ER and tell them what has happened to you. Pick up the phone. NOW

even 80 of lantus is a lot.
Go to the hospital now, eat some glucose tablets. Honeslty as mean as this may sound, this sounds almost unrealistic. I'm surprised you could take 80 in the first place, let alone the second shot of it.
Go to the hospital now, you're going to go into hypoglycemic shock with that much insulin.

With the newer types of insulin these days, diabetic diets aren't necessarily as restrictive as they used to be. Read here https://tr.im/diabetestreat
As with any medicine or diet change, you should discuss it with your doctor. Fruits, both fresh and dried, have a natural sugar in them that will raise blood sugar levels, so be careful about eating too much. Not sure about the nuts. Moderation is always the key. I've been diabetic for 18 years and just recently changed insulin types. I love it because it gives me more freedom in when and what I eat.

get to the ER immediately!!

Pay attention to the bottles after this. the humalog has a purple top and is fatter! the lantus is a skinny taller bottle and has a silver top.
