Normally, a diabetic person should be careful to his/her diets, especially those diets contain more sugary, fat etc..
which mean that their daily living are restricted with the foodstuff.
What about fresh fruit juice, is there any restriction?

my blood sugar readings have ranged 150-200 points.
for intense,
one time i checked it, and it was 423, but i tested it again, and it read 236.
what could this mean?
(i washed my hands before each use, each reading was secounds between eachother, it was a new teststrip, but it wasn't a new landset.)

My mom and two brothers have type 2 diabetes. My grandpa also had it. No one on my dad's side does, though. Do I have to become overweight to get it? I am not overweight, but I'm afraid I will.

i would want 2 know if eating too much tomatoes and even oranges would increase the sugar content in a diabetic, since diabetics already have too much sugar in their blood, this could be hazardous to health.

Could changes in glucose levels be caused by water retention, because the higher glucose level causes water to be sucked up?. My levels seem to go up and down, and I don't take insulin.

I was recently told by my doctor that new standards had been adopted concerning hbaic and dailey monitoring of blood sugar.Hba1c at 5.0 or below and meter readings below 100.These standards,to me,are totally unrealistic and virtuall unatainable. Some doctors fantasy.Anyone have any info or thoughts on this. When i was diagnosed 6 years ago,the numbers were 7 or below for hba1c and below 120 for meter readings.
