i fasted for about 8 or more hours without anything in my system so one of my family members took my blood sugar it was 58....so they immediately gave me some orange juice...last week when i did a random blood glucose it was 248..my blood sugar fluctuates, but never is normal...if someone who is diabetic or knows one can help..cuz i need to know if these are diabetic symptoms and if the blood sugar gets too high what to do?

it is not necessarily a symptom of anything wrong,,, what you should do, is test your sugar level a few hours after you have a meal,, yes a normal and even diabetic sugar level will fluctuate, this is what it is suppose to do,,, if you notice consistent high levels after fasting, or even after eating, see a dr,,, they will give you a glucose tolerance test, in which you drink a bottle of liquid, then they test you every hour for a few hours, while you are fasting

Angel - Doctor - go see a Doctor. Self diagnosis here is dangerous and foolhardy. If you think you are having a problem, you likely are having a problem, and the only thing for you to do is go see a qualified Physician. Stay away from lay-advice and voodoo cures.

swab the area with alchohol b4 you take the blood
sometimes the reading can be incorrect bcuz of
something on finger contaminates the blood used for the test

get a glucose tolerance test
and HbA2

go to you doctor it sound like you are your blood should be between 5.5 and 7.5
