my blood sugar readings have ranged 150-200 points.
for intense,
one time i checked it, and it was 423, but i tested it again, and it read 236.
what could this mean?
(i washed my hands before each use, each reading was secounds between eachother, it was a new teststrip, but it wasn't a new landset.)

If these readings ar correct, you are almost certainly diabetic. You should visit a doctor and ask him to check your hemoglobin (Hb1ac), which will tell him whether or not you need regular medication.

OK...there is a calibration kit with each machine. I suggest that you calibrate your machine and get rid of any strips out of date. Also, check your batteries and your code against the bottle. If all of that is well, there are a few reasons you can get a miss-reading: Alcohol on your finger when you tested your blood (don't think your lancette would affect it); water on your finger when you tested; keeping your machine or your strips in any place where it could exceed 80 degrees F. You definitely did the right thing by retesting with the 423 reading. Perhaps just one strip was bad; you just never know. A range from 150-200 would be "normal" for you and you could probably improve your glucose level with some light exercise if you're able; carefully watching your carbs and taking your medication as directed. You should be reporting discrepancies to your doctor/home health nurse also. I hope this helps you out. If you cannot calibrate your meter, perhaps it's time to get a new one. God love you and have a blessed holiday.

I guess at the end of the day or the bottom line is you are diabetic (which type wouldn't matter in this discussion) and assuming you have been to the doctor otherwise you would not have learnt or used the monitor.
I suspect that you have selected a different measurement on the monitor if it shows up between 0-200. I was thinking the conventional measurement of 4-16 here. Where if the measurement does equal or less than 4 you are having hypothemia, this affect your consciousness or potenially leads to death and require immediate medical treatment (by providing sugar water into the bloodstream to bring it up gradually) or too much sugar results in hyperthemia that can give your body an overload in some cases.
In the meantime, as a coping stradegy some people believed that by taking Yoga helps to regulate pancreas and other emotional issues (I would do this if this affected me).

I am writing to tell you what an incredible impact these methods had on my life! I have had type 2 diabetes for 27 years. For me, the worst part of this horrible disease is the severe pain I constantly get in my feet. The pain is so bad that I avoid standing and walking as much as possible. I've got to tell you that within the first month, my feet stopped hurting altogether and I can now walk totally pain free.
Believe it or not, I even danced at my niece's wedding last month, something I have not done in a many years. I've been following the book for six months now and my blood sugar is well within normal range. I feel great!
I recommend you use the Type 2 Diabetes Destroyer to naturally reverse your diabetes.

You might need your monitor tested or a new monitor because it sounds like it's malfunctioning there is a way to clean the glucose monitor also refer to your instruction booklet that should have come with the meter/monitor....Happy Holidays!!! (Either get a new one or get that tested ASAP that is nothing to mess with especially if you have to take insulin/meds at certain levels)

go to the doctor and let them do an accurate lab test and exam. thats the only way you will know for sure if you need to be treated for an imbalance. they can also help you make sure the home test is done accurately.

You may have had some water left on your finger the second time around that diluted your blood.
No need to change lancets.
Good luck.

You should NEVER use a lancet more than once.Being diabetic we are already prone to infections.Every finger stick should be done with a new sterile lancet.
