i would want 2 know if eating too much tomatoes and even oranges would increase the sugar content in a diabetic, since diabetics already have too much sugar in their blood, this could be hazardous to health.

Oranges can, but you'd probably get sick on tomatoes before you got too much sugar from them. Diabetics don't necessarily have too much sugar in their blood. Mine is probably less than most so-called normal people. My fasting glucose is typically 80 to 110 and my most recent HbA1C was 5.8 (non-diabetic). You need to do some research. I'll give you a head start:

You haven't yet seen a registered dietician, right? You do need that referral, so go back to your gp and insist on one.

Also, diabetic nutrition is about far more than simply controlling blood sugar levels.

Further, diabetes isn't about having too much sugar so much as it's about either not producing or not being able to use insulin.

I'm giving you both a book title and a link. Read them both. And get that referral.

Tomatoes are very, very low in sugar. They also contain fibre. Fibre is more or less always a good thing. Strangely enough, cooked tomatoes may be better than raw ones.

Oranges contain plenty of sugar. Naturally, oranges contain fibre, and orange juice may not contain as much fibre.

well the reason that tomatoes are not good for a diabetic is that it has to much potassium which is not good and potatoes also and bananas but this is only if you are on dialysis and the reason potassium is not good for dialysis patience is that potassium is hard on the muscles but if not on dialysis it is ok to eat tomatoes and potatoes and banana's in moderate portions
