I am sure you have already checked out www.childrenwithdiabetes.com? This site would have lots of parents on their forum who can relate and help you cope with the emotional stress.

I cannot stress enough that you need to be directing all medical questions to your diabetes care team (pediatric endo, Certified Diabetes Nurse Educator, and Dietitian).

Type 1 diabetes is very hard to manage, and you need specific medical advice form your child's doctor to successfully and SAFELY manage it in a 3 year old.

Be careful when searching the web, most information and advice is about Type 2 diabetes (the common obesity related kind). Avoid this information, as it does not apply to your daughter, and may be confusing.

Be sure to read information about TYPE 1 diabetes only.

It may help for you to talk to someone to help your family adjust to this big change. Ask your child's doctor to refer you.

Best wishes!

I'm a 45 year old woman and was recently diagnosed as being a borderline diabetic. My doctor prescribed some medication, but before filling it I decided to do some research on the internet which led me to the methods. After reading this ebook and applying the methods, my scepticism turned to 100% belief. I noticed that my energy levels increased significantly and I felt more rested in the morning, my symptoms started going away.

I am very happy to tell you that I have been feeling better than I have felt in years and my doctor informed me that he will be taking me off my prescriptions if I keep this up.

I recommend you use the Type 2 Diabetes Destroyer to naturally reverse your diabetes.

Type 1 or 2? I was diagnosed with type 2 this past summer and have to take medication and have to watch my diet, which includes no sugar. I've heard that 1/3 of Americans are diabetic. If it is type 1 he may need insulin, you need to see a doctor.

I really hate to hear that a 3 year old has Type 1 diabetes. I guess we're lucky I took type 1 when I was 10 and my oldest daughter took Type 1 at 11. Good luck to her. And to you too. Merry Christmas!!!!! You can contact me if you want to.

Ask your doctor where to go for info. Try a community centre. Dietician. Diabetic association. There are lots of info out there. On line info. Online recipes. Good Luck.

Dear Shiv,
My heart goes out to you and your child.

One of my brothers was diagnosed at the age of 8 and I was diagnosed at the age of 15.

There have been many advances in treating the disease over the decades.

One excellent source for information is Diabetes Forecast magazine. You can reach the customer service center at 1.800.806.7801.

The doctor should know of parent support groups in your area.

God bless you.
