I know nothing about Diabeties, however a friends father has it .the Dr.that treats him for it told my friend to make sure her dad gets his shot everyday.. she told me she doesnt give it everyday because if his numbers are LOW she dont think he needs it.I said I would think his Dr. would know if he needed it everyday or not.I always thought if you were on insulin shots you DO take them everyday, the question is how MUCH do you take,as to how HIGH or LOW your numbers are.please anyone with accurate knowledge, please respond. so I can let her know. Also she has a woman that checks on her dad daily, and she told my friend she has him drink orange juice EVERY morning. I thought that was to bring your levels up if they were too low? like I said I am not educated on Diabeties, but would really appreciate any imfo I can get.

My brother is severely overwieght & says he was diagnosed hypoglycemic, but I heard true "reactive" hypoglycemics have great difficulty gaining wieght.

Is there a cause of low blood sugar for someone this heavy? He actually passes out sometimes! 3 of our 4 grandparents were diabetic as is one of our brothers. (adult onset)

When he feels his bloodsugar dropping, he eats peanut butter. Claims that is the best for him.

My brother used to be nearly a pathalogical liar. While he doesn't lie much now, he does "lie to himself" alot. (Denial) The point being, I take anything he says with a grain of salt.

I heard that the people who have diabetes pee often, but in small amounts. Is that true?

How much do you eat?
What are you supposed to avoid?
Is peanut butter really good for when your blood sugar gets too low?
How do you avoid it dropping like that?

OK, quite a bit more than just one question, but that's the kind of thing I want to know.

My brother is hypoglycemic, but it seems like the only time he lets it affect the way he eats is when he is having a sugar dive. Then he eats the sweets. He is VERY overwieght & I am scared as to what would happen to his kids if something happened to him. (One daughter is autistic.)

I have a cousin who has to have cinnamon all the time. She has cinnamon red hots at work and has to eat some off and on all day. She has them by her bed, in the night stand. She buys cinnamon gum. Boils cinnamon on the stove, loves the house/air, says she loves house smelling like cinnamon. Started looking it up, and found it is good for diabetes, digestion, cravings, etc. What about a lack of mineral. or vitamin, ? could it be that, and if so, what mineral, what vitamin ?

Recently I have noticed I sometimes "crash" after eating--could it be a sign of a blood sugar problem? I have never really had this before and I eat healthy. I am a vegetarian, but I get protein and fiber--not just carbs. I don't eat a lot of sugar. I am 29 and only about 5 lbs overweight.

Few rich people I knew are dying from their uncurable illnesses, and most probably you knew some too. Would you be rather healthy living so poorly?

My ten year old son drinks a lot of fluid (though he does't pee anymore than normal). I don't give him food with much salt and him and his sister who is seventeen, eat more or less the same food.
