The doctor here gave you a good answer. Depending on your degree of kidney damage, and if any of it can be reversed, you may need to be put on medication or even dialysis.

ACE inhibitors are medications commonly used to slow progression of kidney damage in diabetics. Tight control of blood glucose levels can also help reduce protein leakage in some people.

You need to follow a renal diet (low sodium, low potassium, low protein, no processed foods) and work with your doctor.

I am concerned that your doctor took you off the pill without giving you non hormonal replacement birth control such as an IUD.

It would be very dangerous right now for you to become pregnant in this state. If you are having sex, use condoms and look into getting an IUD as soon as possible.

Getting pregnant may put the life of both you and your unborn child in danger if your kidney damage is severe.

It sounds like you didnt find out much. Anarchy is not any medical condition I have heard of.

This sounds like renal failure / kidney disease, either diabetic nephropathy or nephrotic syndrome.

I assume the doctor gave you new medication too? Keep taking it and go back for regular check ups.

Keep your blood sugar well controlled.

Use another form of contraception; your man could use a condom, assuming you feel well enough to have sex.

Dont worry, doctors know how to treat this and may refer you to a specialist kidney doctor called a nephrologist.

well. it seems you have got hypoproteinemia and hypoalbuminemia. You should have commented on your kidney function.

This could be the result of malnutrition, some times because of the chronic liver disease or because of kidney diseases. In liver diseases protein synthesis does not occur or very little are manufactured. In kidney diseases the proteins are secreted in the urine. In type 1 D.M. usually the hypoproteinemia=low level of serum proteins are because of the protein urea. The kideys are effected by the poor control of the D.M. and their basement membrane starts getting leaky. as the destructive effects of D.M. starts appearing and the destructive effects keeps on advancing the revesal of the albumin / globulin ratio is seen. this can further progress to frank protein urea and when the serum level falls below certain level...odema starts appearing..meaning that your feet starts swelling. So the best advise is to go for the kidney function tests/ liver function tests. Control your D.M. tightly, balanced diet, take regular exercise.. like long walks. Trust your doc..take his adive and keep in touch with him on regular basis.

regarding the discontinuation of pill... you can use other methods. like condoms, barrier methods, or Intra uterine device.
wishing you a good health...

stop having sex, anarchy is not a medical problem, you sound like you are in bad shape, you must mean anemia if you have no protien in your body. and you dont fell or fall pregnant, you simply end up pregnant from having sex.
