I am in the process of getting health insurance, but until it kicks in, I need advice on what to eat, and what to stay away from. Every time I eat, I get very ill. I get nauseated, cramps, rapid heartbeat, and everything starts spinning. I usually fall asleep. I am 23, so I didnt think of diabetes, but I guess its possible. Iv'e also researched celiac disease, low blood sugar, high blood pressure etc. They all seem relevant. I know I shoudnt eat alot, but I feel starved constantly!!! I eat non stop day and night. I am 5ft 6in,and 130lbs. I have had 3 kids who were very low birth weight and very ill. Without money, what can I do? What should I eat? I have constant stomach pain. I always feel like I could vomit at any minute. I sleep soooo much. I nap very frequently and hear nothing when I sleep. I take a multi vitamin b/c I thought I could be so hungry if I was defencient. I eat until I vomit, but I am still starving. My weight stays the same since the birth of my youngest. Thyroid?

I have yet to research the validity of the story I heard on the radio today that a lab in Canada has cured diabetes in mice. Is this true? A single injection that causes the pancreas to communicate correctly with the nervous system, something along those lines. If this is indeed true, what are the odds drug companies would make it and sell it? I hate to be negative, but why would they? Anyway, just curious if anyone else heard a similar story.

National Post
Does anyone know this periodical? Is it a reputable newspaper or just a tabloid?

I have been a type 1 diabetic for 5 years and my sugars have generally been fine. About a month or so ago a started having problems with my sugar level going up at night for no apparent reason. At first it was only going up 2 or 3 but now I am going up nearly 10. My sugar will be perfect at bed time, but terrible in the mourning.

Hi there, i am a 24 year old male worried about having diabetes. For close to a year and a half i have had a lower to mid back pain (like a tight feeling) and urinary symptoms such as dribbling, retention, feeling like i always gotta go, I went into emerg and they found some sugar in my urine but refferred me to my GP who did 1 test for diabetes and said no to diabetes. I have been tested for everything else and nothing. After a while i developed pruitis ani and also groin itching which i think is related somehow to my problems but the doctors didn't think so. Anyways what do i do? I went back to see my urologist the other day and he said ther eis nothing wrong with me. Are you kidding me? before this i was as healthy asi can be and now i have things that only happen to immune compromised people such as itching and i also have folliculitis. Anyways any help would be great. is it possible it is autonomic neuropathy? Oh ya i forgot i have pains in my legs into my toes and hands

My mother went into the hospital last night and I informed this morning. She's had diabetes since she was 7, so she knows how to manage it. My stepfather arrived at the house yesturday and found her passed out, he's had to deal with insuline reactions befor,we both had, so it's nothing new. They went to the hospital and her blood sugar was 1023! We can't figure out what would cause it to get that high, can anybody suggest any causes? She still has yet to fully be coherent and conscious. She's opened her eyes about 5 times like she was blinking and she squeezed my handacouple of times, she's still not awake. She has no control of her left side and no feeling in it. Can anybody tell me what to expect? Any help would be much appriciated. Thanks.
