The MD above me told you about the meds and the Dr. the only other thing I can think of is to elevate your feet above your heart and stay off of them for a while.

Elevate your feet and stay off them for a period. This can be very dangerous. Diabetes causes starvation of blood to the extremities and mainly the feet since they are the furthest from your heart. Any damage to your feet can be very dangerous and you should see your doctor asap.

It would be helpful to know which medications you are taking as there are a few which may lead to swelling. If that is not the cause you should see your physician to determine a cause. It is common for diabetics to have vascular disease and this may be a cause of swelling. It is true that diabetics may have swelling for reasons not due to the diabetes. In any event swelling should always be evaluated and must always be explained. It is important that you discuss this with your physician.
