quickly? no... insulin does it quickly but you need the guidance of a healtcare provider.
for overall health you need daily exerice for 1/2 to 1 hour to helps your body use up the sugar in the foods you eat, cut out all soda
pop even diet. whole grains, vegtables, lean meats, in reasonable portions, find your body mass index and plan from there.. perferably with a dieticians help.
Stay away from processed food... most of it has High fructose corn syrup in it... if you must then look at potion size and cut it in half.
with Type 2 you want to level the sugars not bring them down rapidly.. depending on how high it is and how long it has been high you could experience the symptoms of low bood glucose even at normal levels.
Type 2 diabetes is complicated... do your research there are no easy answers.... find a Diabetic educator that seems reasonable.

There is a very good reason for raising blood sugar very quickly but as somebody who has at least 7 immediate family members who are diabetic I have never heard of wanting to lower the level quickly. Maybe you want to pass the medical for Iraq:-). I don't know what kind of diabetes you suffer from but I can tell you what happened to me. My blood sugar level went up to 7 which is Glucose Intolerance, confirmed by a test. I was on my way developing Type 2 Diabetes. I told my Dr. about my Grandmother, my Father etc. He listened patiently. When I was finished He said that he was not treating my family but just me. He told me that if I did as he told me to he would guarantee I would never develop diabetes. This is what he told me:
1) take between 10-20 GRAMS of vitamin C per day.
2) take 1 magnesium tablet ( 450 ) mG.
3) cut out all dairy products
4) shop for food with a low GI ( glyceamic index
Why the dairy products?
a) it has a protein, whey, in it which does not belong in the human body
b) it has lactose in it and most people are allergic to it. Only Caucasians tolerate it
c) it has too much calcium in it
d) the calcium can't be absorbed by the human body because the ratio of 2 different chemicals is unsuitable
e) it has far too much fat in it
And that is the ' healthy ' milk of 60 years ago.
Nowadays cattle get antibiotics, get dipped in chemicals and get hormones which cause girls to bleed early and men to develop breasts.
So I took his advice and 4 weeks later my sugar level was 4.5.

Use caution exercising if your blood sugars are over 300, although less likely than with type I diabetes diabetic ketone acidosis can occur.
If you have elevated blood sugars over an extended period of time it could be a sign of infection.

Well Im sure you know that you should not be letting your sugars get very high in the first place.
Officially no, only medication or insulin but if you drink lots of water it will mean that you pee out some of the sugar.

Try to carry some chocolates with you always.
When you feel that your blood sufar is decreasing ,have one or two of the chocolates.
If you feel that sugar is increasing and you weant to bring it down quickly, drink water. However becareful as drinhking water may also quickly bring down the sugar below normal.
