Since November, when I first found out that I am diabetic, I have kept my sugar at 5-6 mmol. I have had a couple ups and downs but mostly I've kept it under control with diet and very little medication. Well for the last 2 weeks it keeps dropping to below 4. I eat and like 2 hours later it's at 3.9 mmol and I have to eat agian. I'm eating like a pig and losing weight, I'm always tired. Whats going on? Has anyone else experienced this? I don't know why this is happening all of a sudden. I have kept to my diet, but this is bizarre. I don't see my doctor for two weeks so I was just wondering if anyone else has encountered this.

For you nit-wits that think it is better to run to your computer to ask what to do when someone is having an emergency...seizure, diabetic emergency, not breathing, or whatever....when the person is actually having the emergency before your eyes, rather than calling 911 to get the person help, dont forget to ask where the nearest railroad tracks are in your area so you can immediatley run to them and sit down between the rails. Also, when you get there, dont leave untill the train passes.

12 months ago i was diagnosted with diabetes with sugar level of 352 and it took me 6 months to bringing it down and keep it in control of 110, but now fo 2 weeks i'm been in the average of 96 and for no reason my sugar comes all the way down to 64 making me feel shaking, is there a need to take fast action or wait for my next dr. app. ?

My blood sugar is giving me trouble. The dr's say I'm not diabetic but I have been checking sugar daily.
When I eat even 1 bite of a cookie I get severe headache, I stay away from pop, sweets etc.
After eating a meal feel like passing out, it get almost impossible to stay awake.
Was told to test 2 hrs after eating, but always normal range then.
Started checking 20 min after eating, and every 20 min up to I hr which is my peak (as far as I can tell) By 1hr 15min sugar drops. Sometimes this goes faster, but this is the average.
My sugar levels have been...
FASTING 12 hrs, after eating carbs the night before it's around low 60's. FASTING after eating meat the night before high 70's-80's.
Tonight ate tuna cheese caserole, sugar 174 within 1/2 hr after eating, 140 in 45min, and 120 in 1hr.
Night before burgers and hashbrowns, 25min 143, 1hr 185, 1&1/2 hrs 175.
How could the sugar go so low and then jump that high?
What could be wrong?
Dr's say tests they do are ok. (help)

Right now I'm sort of seeing the man I hope to marry and the other day we brought up the subject of babies. We discussing that there may be a high risk if we had children that one of our babies would have diabetes. Diabetes runs in my family and I believe it runs in his. He is a diabetic and I'm not. We figure we are in a very high risk category, but since at this time we're not married or planning to have kids yet we haven't asked a doctor. We would both like your opinions and answers.

I was recently put in the hospital due to sharp long lasting abdomin pains on my left side. They said there is something wrong with my pancreas, my lipase and amlayse levels were very elevated. They thought it was pancreatitis.... but my pancreas wasnt swollen. Could it be a symptom of diabetes? What are some other symptoms of this disease? Please no one tell me "Go to a doctor and dont ask on the internet" Im well aware that i should be asking a doctor, but the thought just crossed my mind right now.

My partner thinks I may have diabetes, recently I've been extremely thirsty to the point of drinking cups of water non-stop all day and then having to the visit the bathroom every half an hour, a right pain when you're at work! I also get extremely shaky and grumpy at certain times if I havent eaten for a couple of hours, one day last week we had to come home early from the shops as I was on the verge of collapsing and being sick, what the hell is wrong with me? I guess a trip to the doctor is on the cards

A couple of weeks ago I tested my blood sugers after eating a sandwich and veggies and It was at 154. So today after eating steak, shrimp, half of a dinner roll and apple crisp w/ ice cream topped with carmel my blood sugers read 214. I am not overweight. I eat healthy (yes, what I ate tonight was not good and I don't eat like this all the time. I follow a 1500 cal. diet) I exercise everyday. I am tired all the time and thirsty. And about two months ago I found out that my thyroid is under active so now I take synthroid. I don't know if that has anything to do with this. I will talk to my Dr. about this, but it is Friday night and I will have to wait until Mon. So if anyone has any comments to help me I would appreciate it. Thanks
