My mother's diabetes has been controlled by pills for 2 years. She has to eat right, but other wise she's fine.
Until she got a stomach flu.
She's puking, can't take her meds or eat anything. Should I worry about low blood sugar?
I'm afraid to let her sleep, I don't want her to go into a crisis in her sleep.

My Mum regularly gets these when her friends are round and often acts silly, it takes a while for me to pick up but can often handle it. Coke does the trick, is there any other way in helping her control these, she has the 5 meals a day and regularly checks her blood sugar levels. Also, it sometimes happens in the night where she herself wakes up from sweating loads, any help?

My husband has had several health problems and the Dr.s can't figure out what it is. He recently found out that his blood sugar has been fluxuating. All of his lymph nodes are swollen, he feels like he has the flu all the time(body aches, chills, hot flashes). He has been depressed. He has no energy. He has mood swings. He has headaches alot. These things have lead him to Dr, to Dr. To Dr. They have done test after test, including surgery to biopsy a lymph node. No Cancer of any kind. They can't find anything. Can all of this be problems from the onset of diabetes and could it take YEARS before the diabetes actually show up? Is there something we should be looking for?
