My friend is diabetic, and he has to inject insulin whenever he eats (my age, high schooler). Whenever we go to parties, he drinks a lot sometimes. Is this good for him? What side effects (ie throwing up) could he get especially since he is diabetic?

Last year I went to the doctor with frequent urination symptoms. They did a urine analysis, a fasting blood test and a random blood test and my sugar levels were normal. I didnt get the glucose tolerance test. Lately, Ive been peeing a lot again and have a dry mouth. Im not thirsty really and I dont wake up at night to pee.

Does it sound like diabetes?

I have a mild version of hypoglycemia. .The symptoms that it includes for me are definitley something that I have to be careful about at work. I try to plan things to eat at every break and even before I clock in. However, sometimes I don't have enough to eat for whatever reason.
I eat whatever I can but I know I need to have protein and not just carbs. I saw Soy Protein powder that can be made into a shake or something similar. Would this be good to use if I have an emergency of really being able to level out or in general?

My mom was diagnosed with diabetes a few months ago. My dad (who has no diabetes in his family) has JUST been diagnosed as well.

Months ago, I checked my blood sugar, and it was 229 two hours after eating. Then I checked it the next day, and it was fine, I think 97, something like that...... I checked it for a while, and it remained fine...maybe for two or three weeks on and off. Then, a few days ago, I checked my glucose randomly, about 5 hours after eating. It was 112. (However, I was getting over a mild flu, but it was almost completely gone by then. I have heard that being sick can raise it tho). I then checked it about two hours after eating that day. It was 130...not too high, still within the norm. I checked it 3 hours after eating today. It was 103. Should I still be checked for blood sugar problems?
