Ahhh... the protein myth still lingers on.
Yes, I eat a lot of vegetables, some whole grains, and I take it easy on the fats and sugars. In other words, I eat the same meals as anyone who wants to be healthy. I avoid junk food and most treats. If a diabetic takes proper care of themselves with good diet, weight management, exercise, and a few supplements, they can eat just like anyone else who eats sensible, healthy meals. Lots of high protein and low sugar. Most foods these days have a diabetic exchange on them which can really help you out. This way you can eat your favorite foods that you would normally eat, just in a more controlled way.
