I've been working in gourmet popcorn factory for 3 years as a operational manager, also an owner. I've been tasting and consuming a lot of chocolate, caramel, and sugar that are essential ingredients for producing gourmet popcorn.

I checked my blood sugar level and it is enormouly high and am experienced many of diebetes symptoms recently. Am I eligible to get worker's compensation for this case? and How?

Thanks,

Could there be a mistake. My diabetic mother-in-law says not to take pills because I will become dependent and my grandma says not to believe the doctor because she is wrong. I think that believing the professional that took the time to get a degree would be best. What do you guys think?

It seems like you would have to wait and see just what and how much you ate to know how much to inject.

Well it first started when I was pregnant with my youngest son (it's been about 1year or so) and they said I was one point away from having gentestial diabetes but I didn't think anything of it. Back in October I was attending a weight loss class and they had drawn my blood to run some tests and mine came back a 67 for sugar.(I didn't drank the nasty stuff that they gave me before, this was just a normal don't eat 10 hours before the test is done) I'm not sure what that excactly means. But my test did come back with a high count of something, not sure what the exact name is but they told me to lay off the carbs or I'll start having pacreas problems. My grandparents both had diabetes. I am overweight. I'm starting to have things happen to me after I drink a soda or eat candy. Some examples are fast heart rate, vomiting, light headed, dizzy, blurred vision and diareha. I don't really think anything of it but my husband wants me to get checked. So please help me with some answers. Thanks

My friend stayed at my house last night, shes a diabetic and her sugars were high, well she ended up throwing up all night and wasn't getting better at all. She was constantly throwing up and was hot and exhausted. Did i do the right thing by calling 911? They started fluids right away and admitted her to the hospital, her sugars were over 600. She was in ICU so they could monitor her today/tonight. How long will they keep her in the hospital? Shes a single mom and i am watching her 3yr old daughter and had to miss work as my friend had no one else to watch her and abviously cant have her at the hospital with her. Her daughter knows shes sick and in the hospital and was here when they took her away and we went and saw her today. But misses her mom alot.

the doctors are pretty sure that it is type 2 diabetes, and I have had it before I was pregnant. I am on two types of insulin, but my sugar is still really high well it gets higher as the day goes on. I have read if you have diabetes and you want to get pregnant that you should have your sugar controlled berfore you get pregnant because of birth deffects. I am scared to death has anyone been through this before? I go see my endocrineologist tomorrow what are some good questions to ask her? Is it normal to take insulin and my sugar still be in thehigh 200s and300s
