Did you eat breakfast before the blood was drawn? If so, don't worry about the 147 result, especially if you just ate breakfast an hour or two before. If it is a fasting blood test (no eating after midnight), your blood sugars are a little high. Diabetes could be a factor, but sugars rise because of stress or illness as well. If you were worried about going to the doctor, the worry could raise your blood sugars. If you went to the doctor because you don't feel good, illness could raise your sugars. Most doctors who specialize in diabetes (endocrinologist) don't (or shouldn't) diagnose diabetes until a fasting blood glucose comes back 200+. If you and/or your doctor is/are concerned and this was a fasting test, repeat the test a few days later. If your still concerned, ask your doctor if he/she has a glucose monitor that you could have so you can check your sugars at home.

Best of health to you and yours.

I am writing to tell you what an incredible impact these methods had on my life! I have had type 2 diabetes for 27 years. For me, the worst part of this horrible disease is the severe pain I constantly get in my feet. The pain is so bad that I avoid standing and walking as much as possible. I've got to tell you that within the first month, my feet stopped hurting altogether and I can now walk totally pain free.

Believe it or not, I even danced at my niece's wedding last month, something I have not done in a many years. I've been following the book for six months now and my blood sugar is well within normal range. I feel great!

I recommend you use the Type 2 Diabetes Destroyer to naturally reverse your diabetes.

Thats actually a bit high i think. If your concerned have a Hemoglobin A1C test done. That will measure the level of glycosolated hemoglobin in your blood and give you a more accurate picture of your average blood sugar over the last three months. You may not be diabetic but you probably should watch yourself. Avoid refined sugars and carbohydrates and if your overweight lose a few pounds. Losing fifteen pounds can have a profound effect on your overall health including helping your body to regulate blood sugar.

Moderately---You're in diabetic range, but it may be that you have the type that can be controlled by diet and exercise. You need to have a serious talk with your doctor, though, because diabetes is a dangerous thing.

However, you should also be aware that doing the test improperly can affect the results. If this was a fasting blood sugar test and you ate when you weren't supposed to, that would have thrown your numbers off.

it all depends if your sugar was checked fasting or not,an ideal blood sugar leval should be 125 or less upon fasting and around 150 to 180 2 hours after a meal.

i would definitely start watching the level more closely. if you are ill, this may cause an increase in the level. but, you need to take control over your health. meal plan for a lifetime. make a healthy change. cinnamon and chromium picolinate are just a few of the many things you can take to assist your levels. start researching. you can turn this negative around just by eating healthier, learning more about nutrition.

From what I am reading 200 is when you are diabetic.
So I am sure your doctor is highly concerned. Did he ask you to go back for another test in 3 months? Did he tell you to watch your diet or lose weight? My guy's glucose was 136 but once he started his diet he is back in the normal range again. So start eating your veggies and cut back on cakes and cookies.

It would depend on when it was taken...fasting it would be a little high but not desperate, post meal it would be pretty OK
