If you mean the bags labeled sugar the answer is yes. It's almost entirely pure sucrose with impurities accounting for less than a thousandth of a percent of the contents.

Since you are asking that in the diabetes section, I will assume you are a diabetic, or have a family member who is.
Refinement of any substance makes it more pure than it was in it's natural state, and raw sugar becomes near-100% sucrose.

There are things in natural sugar that make it healthy for humans, and in the refining process they are removed. Still, a normal, healthy body can metabolize (digest and use) pure sucrose in small amounts, because a normal body can temporarily adjust to the extra blood sugar.

Diabetics have lost the ability to adjust to peak blood sugar conditions, so white, refined sugar is a bad thing for them. Hope this helps.

All depends on what type of sugar you are talking about. White sugar (refined) is pure sucrose but brown refined sugar is sucrose and molases mixed.

Refined just means they took the impurities out.

refined anything is not pure no more. .turbanado is raw cane sugar pure state ebfore refining or bleaching.. whitening etc white sugar is the root of cancers obesities all kinds of crap if u have ot use it use raw.. it is not pure no more after refining
