I am on B/P meds, yet I am having trouble with higher than usual (for me) B/Ps. I saw my doctor yesterday and was put on yet more meds. I just realized that I don't drink water on a regular basis, and have read somewhere that you can be as much as 1% dehydrated and not even realize it. Also that dehydration, even on a small scale, can cause problems with concentration and reasoning. Could this be the reason my B/P is high? If you have experience with this, please chime in!

If you have diabetes and you take insulin, what does it mean if you sometimes feel like you are going to faint.

does that mean you you got too much sugar, or do you need to eat some sugar.

anyone have this problem

One more question. I had a chart for my doctor on my leveld. Fasting, I am usually at 90mg, but once at 160mg. I had re-tested to make sure and it give me the same result. My doctor was worried, but it hasn't happened since then. Could something just had been worng with me for only one day?

I took my blood glucose 1 hour after eating and it was 259mg. My 2 hour was 152mg. I understand my 259 was only after one hour, but I read that healthy people should not go above 110, or 120 or 140 after a meal.

My meal was small with a small portion of potatoes. I need a little carbs or else I get the shakes. It is so difficult knowing how your body will react to specific foods.

Thank you

This may sound like a totally stupid question because I know virtually nothing about diabetes, but I'm a 28 year old female and I've been experiencing some very strange things and I'm wondering if it's got anything to do with my insulin levels. Anyone in the know, please give me some insight.

1. Sudden headache and painful stomach that hits within 30 min. of eating carbohydrates (from white/wheat pasta, breads, potatoes, corn, baked goods like donuts, etc.). I call it the "Carbo rush." And it is NOT pleasant.

2. Feelings of extreme and uncomfortable restlessness followed by bouts of fatigue so badly that even espresso doesn't help (actually, that just causes the restlessness which is worse than the fatigue)

3. Intense cravings for donuts, chocolate, sugary cereals, cookies, cake - anything high in fat and sugar. Cravings so bad that I often find myself eating six donuts in twenty minutes and waking up several time a night to pig out on these foods.

Any ideas?

Please help me find a reliable glucose monitor. Currently I'am using Ultra touch freedom
but get this really low readings that are in my opinion unreliable, due to lack of the usual
symptoms I acquire when I get hypoglycemic. Please help me.

I am a type 1 Diabetic, I take Toronto regular insulin 15units each time I eat. If I dont work out I notice it goes a little high. I would therefore increase the amount. I then get a headache. What amount would you say is normal. Ps I do see my indocrinologist. I just want to see what others are doing.

Thanks for your response in advance.

My head is hurting and I feel dizzy. I even passed out at one point and couldn't seem to "come to" for about an hour. I ate something and drank a small glass of milk, but my head still is pounding and I still feel faint. What could be my problem??

I'm angry at the ones that will not keep sugar out of our home and tells lies about me buying it to others and I'm just sick of my mom lying about everything about me. I'm disabled an I live in he** and I can't get out. No sibling will take care of them, and I'm lossing it! I'm in counseling and under doctors care but my mood swings have gotten bad, I don't go into the learn how to eating thing until March but I feel like running and never turning back, I stopped eating along time ago because of my mom's gossip trying to lose weight. I had a life 9 years ago, working..... and now the doctors say I cant' work and SS Administration say I can't go to college to get back on my feet. I don't want pity or and B.S. Just maybe a professional to tell me why I'm so mad and having problems controlling it. An idea of whats going on?
