My derma told me to put Dactacort. So I did. It went away for a while but came back. It has been on and off for more than a year now. It started in at my chin. A small itchy red spot. My derma told me to use white mild toothpaste. But then a small itchy red spot came out in between my upper lip and nose, like the small mustache of Hitler. Then it spread from there. Nothing in my arms or legs.. all concentrated on my face. I am so irritated by the itchiness that I take allerta or lorano or any anti histamine to relieve the itchiness. Then sometime October, I developed eczema in the left eye wherein I was given tobradez ointment and celestamine. Was gone after a week. Now it came back. What is this? Please help.

I have thalasemia minor. Not sure if there is a relation, but when I work out, I constantly yawn. And after my work out, I have severe allergic reactions like a runny nose and I sneeze constantly. Even in the morning, just walking up stairs, I get the same symptoms without that asmthatic weeze. I'm 37 and wonder if it something with my heart. My resting heart rate is low=56. I sometime even wake in my sleep because of a lack of breath (like sleep apnea). So I'm wondering if it's more than asthma.

I'll just be doing something like using a computer or watching tv when I'll suddenly get that feeling in my nose, and I have to sneeze. Is it because of dust in my nose or is it something else?

My eyes have been hurting for a long period of time now and I don't know what is causing it. I wear glasses but they don't really help at all. Every time I am in light or am at the computer my eyes get really watery and start to hurt really bad.

I get the same reaction after eating either one. My throat swells some. The only common link between the two is potassium. If anyone has the same problem, please email me so we can comapre notes! What's weird is, I can eat chocolate covered raisins and get no reaction. But if I eat a small box of plain raisins, I get a reaction.

When I drink certain brands of coffee, I get horrendous hives all over my body just minutes later - but there are a few kinds that don't have any effect on me at all (example: starbucks never bothers me, but Dunkin Donuts will throw me into a full blown itching fit complete with massive welts on my arms and legs.) Since this sort of rules out it being the coffee itself, I'm wondering if it isn't something that they add or treat it with? I've never heard of such an allergy so any help would be appreciated.

My girlfriend just moved into a new apartment where there used to be a cat, and I am allergic to cats, so I feel like crap when I visit her. What would be a good air filter (not outrageously expensive) to buy to take the allergens out of the air? She had the carpets cleaned which helped somewhat, but I can still feel it when I go in. Any ideas?

My daughter has had a rash for 14 days now. She's been taking steriods to help the rash go away and it's not helping. We are trying to figure out what is causing the rash and the doctor suspects that it is an allergic reaction to something. Since the medicine is not working I suspect that she's allergic to something that she is still in contact with. I was wondering if it is possible to be allergic to cats and not have all the sneezing, running nose, etc. Only a rash. Does anyone know if that is common? I'd hate... truly HATE giving my loving cat away if it is not the cause but I want to do what is best for my daughter. She has been around our cat since she was born and just developed this rash a few weeks ago. I realize that people can develope allergies at any time so if I have to find her another loving home I will do so. I just wonder if her rash could be caused by cat dander. Please let me know what you think. Thanks!

My wedding ring and engagement ring are leaving a red scaley rash on my fingers. :-( Should I have them reset in platinum, or is it likely I'd be allergic to that, too? (Do they have any of the same "filler" metals)?

I am 28 years old and I have chronic sinus infections and I breakout often. When I was a teenager I never had breakouts - my skin was pretty darn good. I am wondering if I could have a food allergy and how I find this out. I know some people are allergic to dairy and some wheat, but how do you know. My doctor doesn't really care and just gives me antihistamines and antibiotics. I know seeing an allergist is a possibility, but do they test you for food allergies or just like pollen and dust? Is there anything I can do like send a blood sample somewhere?
