Although you are taking an anti-histamine, the histamine within your body will still react... Just not necessarily on a visible level.

Histamine is part of our immune system and shouldn't be taken for granted. Medications like Benadryl will help supress the reaction but if something else come along that your body cant' handle, you're essentially putting yourself at risk.

I know it can be REALLY tempting. I'm allergic to tomatoes, chocolate, bananas, everything citrus and a mess of other things. I've tried it, but doing this in the long run will wreck ye.

It's always good to have food in your stomach when you take Benadryl; however, it does not mean that you will a different reaction.
If you take Benadryl, you could be sleepy or drowsy for a period of time.

It's very possible. I would cut my lost and skip the whatever it is that is causing you a reaction. Benadryl is a powerful drug and can help just depends on your body.

No, you shouldnt I have a friend who does this when she wants to eat tomatoes and it helps her to prevent having reactions. She loves them but she is not supposed to eat them.
