I am 28 years old and I have chronic sinus infections and I breakout often. When I was a teenager I never had breakouts - my skin was pretty darn good. I am wondering if I could have a food allergy and how I find this out. I know some people are allergic to dairy and some wheat, but how do you know. My doctor doesn't really care and just gives me antihistamines and antibiotics. I know seeing an allergist is a possibility, but do they test you for food allergies or just like pollen and dust? Is there anything I can do like send a blood sample somewhere?

There are good Dr. and not so, find one by referrals is usually best. A good one will test you for just about everything. I'm not sure you're breakouts are connected but with most infections, it can affect the whole Body if not brought under controll.
You heard the saying: You are what you eat! That's where most of the breakout problems come from, with the exception of improper Cleanliness.

I am sure it possibly could be allergies....another thing to consider is....I never had break outs as a teenager either, and then I was breaking out horribly....face, chest, back....come to find out...I had a totally plugged bile duct from my gall bladder....my bile was backing up through my liver because it couldn't go anywhere...it was making my system toxic...That could be your problem....but you also could just have a toxic liver...Good luck.

you could see an ear/nose/throat doctor, they might find something that might make you be allergic to certain things, it is worth a phone call...
