I'm badly allergic to cats and dogs. But I LOVE cats. A while back I had a cat and for the year I had him I was taking benadryl and using a flovent inhaler. Which helped, but not 100 percent. So now, I want to get another cat and am interested the allergy shot. Are they effective? How long do they last and are they expensive?

I take Tylenol #3, Oxycodone, and I recently ate some Pistachio nuts. The only thing that I have reacted before, subtle hives on my shoulders and chest, was from the oxycode. So I stopped taking it, then I tried taking oxycode again and I was OK until yesterday, the day after I ate some pistachio nuts. Now I have hives all over my body...what should I do, do I have to go to the emergency room for an anti-histimine shot or can I stop taking my medication and it will go away? Can I still take Tylenol #3?

Me, my husband and our 11 month old baby have all been ill since Christmas. We've had colds, coughs, ear infections, tummy bugs, sinus problems etc. I have got another cold now and I have ear ache again. I have aired the house several times, changed bed sheets often, used Dettol discenfectant spray, stayed away from people who I know are poorly. Any other advice as we are now at the end of our tethers???!!!

I woke up with a rash on my face. It is also swollen. I'm 100% sure its not from a bite. I recently tried a cleanse with cheyenne peppers and the next morning was when I woke up with the rash. Has anyone ever had an allergic reaction to Cheyenne pepper?

Swollen Taste buds......?

Hey guys, for the past week I've been noticing that my taste buds are "bumpy" meaning that they are like raised bumps against my tongue, and not just in one place of the tongue, pretty much all over it and the color is pretty normal.

I read somewhere that this can be caused by an allergic reaction or irritation to spicy foods. well, I haven't really eaten anything that would give me and allergic reaction. and I've grown up eating spicy foods so irritation to spicy foods seems unlikely.

If anybody here has had a similar problem please let me know what you found out about it. i'm really starting to get worried but i've been told not to worry about it.

My baby has severe eczema despite a strict elimination diet on my part and tested positive for these allergies. Finding products to use on him and us is a nightmare so far. We are laundering with Dreft but they won't disclose their ingredients without a doctor's note. We found Kiss My Face olive bar soap but that's it. Any help with dealing with these allergies would be really helpful. My first son was allergic to tree nuts so we have experience with that but not the others. We haven't tested for palm but are avoiding it preventively; he also was positive for minimal wheat and sesame allergies. Thanks for your help!

My fiance is very allergic to walnut trees, most trees in fact, so we were wondering if that means he would also be allergic to eating walnuts. He always seems to have an upset stomach after eating them. We wonder if it due to the allergies or just a coincidence

I woke up this morning with rash and red mark allover my body, I don't if this because of the cold weather (i just back from travelling from south east asia, tropical country), might be from the extreme weather changing or from the nyquil medication I took because I have flue/sore throat (but it never happened before).
Which doctor I should go? derm or?

I have 3 chihuahua's and as normal they do the coughing and gagging due to their age and the common trachael problems chihuaha's get.
However, last week we adoped a dog from the pound. The dog came with his paperwork and has had all of his shots, he was well taken care of. Now my chihuahuas have a different kind of cough, sounds dry, but yet their nose is running and they are sneezing. I was reading on the net that this does not necessarily have to be kennel cough, since the new dog introduced to the house was vacinated. It could be because of the amount of animals and the fact that the chihuahuas do not go out that often. They do not act sick , have an appetite, play , not feverish. I order some drops from petmeds.com that says it treats confined animals. Is there anything else I can do like run a vaporizer? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. ( My chihuaha's do not have bordella drops when they get thier anual shots, as I almost lost one due to a allergy to it)

I've been selling seafood in a supermarket for about 5months and whenever I handle prawns my hands start to have a slight itch.

Is this normal with prawns or could I be slightly allergic to prawns?
I don't eat seafood so I've never eaten a prawn so I have no idea what that would do to me.
maybe I'm in the wrong business.
