I am beginning to wonder if I am a allergic to chocolate. When i hold chocolate in my hand for longer than a few seconds, I get red irritated splotches on my hand. If I eat a whole chocolate bar my stomach starts to cramp and i get diarrhea within the hour. Dark chocolate hurts my stomach more than milk.
I know that I am not allergic to milk because I don't have problems drinking it or eating anything that milk in it.

My wife is daily exposed to cat hair, one of her worse allergies, among other things. She's almost always affected by it. I'm concerned that we could be risking more than just acute breathing problems and headaches.

I have bad allergies and live in a house with no bathroom vents. When taking a shower, should I open a window to prevent high humidity buildup (which encourages mold growth)? Or would opening a window just allow a bunch of outdoor pollen, dust, whatever, in the house?

I have 9 cats. I have never been allergic to cats. Recently, my manx has started to make me sneeze. every time he gets on me, my eyes water, my nose runs, and I sneeze over and over. None of the other cats do this to me. My manx has long hair, but so do some of the others, although I've heard it isn't the hair but the dander that causes problems anyhow. The only difference I can see between him and the other cats is that he drools whenever he is petted. Anyhow... Anyone have any ideas? Thank you.

I am an asmatic, I recently moved and my fiance moved in with a long hair cat. I am choking up a lot and take my ventilin medication puffer a lot more now and sometimes that doesn't work, I take flovent, but I ran out, have to wate for my benefits to kick in soon (very soon). We are thinking on investing in an air humidifier, is a humidifier or dehumidifier the best thing for an asmatic?

I have a very bad nut allergy that has become worse over the years, even comming in contact with them can send me to the hospital with anaphylactic shock. I had an allergic reaction at work oneday with out eating anything, I touched something then touched my mouth. I used my epi-pen. After that, my manager posted big notes around the back office, saying all nuts are not allowed anymore. The new rule was followed for a few days but now I see people eating nuts again. They eat them far away from me but they don't understand that if they touch the photocopier (or something else) and then I do, there's the possibility that I could end up dying. We have new managment and I plan to address this issue at the next staff meeting, but it's not for another 2 months. What should I do in the mean time? Is it really that hard of a rule to follow?

My allergy to alcohol ranges from making me awfully sick next day after even 30 ml of alcohol consumed. It runs genetically since my mother, sister and at least one cousin have a similar problem. There is no cure since this results from ethyl aldehyde formed when alcohol gets broken down in the liver. Does anyone else suffer from a similar problem? Does anyone want my blood for research?
