If you're allergic to detergent, you'll get really itchy and develop rashes or hive like patches on different parts of the body. My legs were the part of my body that got really itchy. I used to break all the blood vessels in my legs, my skin would actually turn purple. I'm not allergic to detergents anymore, but it did take me like 15 years to get over it. As for the animals, you'll probably get congested, sneezing, itchy, watery eyes, your skin could itch as well.

You could be very itchy or may even have a rash if you're allergic to a detergent.
