We have to wait 3 weeks before I can see a doctor to do a biopsy. Early tests don't look good. How can my wife & I tell our teenage son because he has to know but on the other hand, he is our youngest and I am closest to him. All the other problems I've had in my life seem stupid compared to this. Should we wait until the biopsy or prepare him for what might happen?

I talked to my boyfriend about his drinking and how I was concerned. He's calling me a hypocrite because I drink. No one has ever talked to me about my drinking being a problem and I don't think it is because I drink socially and maybe a glass or 2 of wine in the evenings with dinner or just to unwind a couple times a week, if that. Why is he calling me a hypocrite? It's really beginning to **** me off and all I wanted to do was help him.

Hi all,
I watch my local team play football but recently have been asked to take home the kit and water bottles etc.
The water bottles were really disgusting the first time i got them ,they hadnt been cleaned in ages. I asked the person ho used to do it before and she said that they didnt tell her she needed to clean the bottles. It turns out all she was doing was topping the bottles up each week with water, not even emptying the old water.
I wanted to know, what serious illness could you contract from the stale water? Could you get Legionaire's disease?

Prednisone only helps for like two weeks. I have had two polypectomys within months of each other, polyps return after only a month or two. Also I had Image Guided Sinus Surgery, which that was done in march and polyps are already back. I get allergy shots, take singulair, nasonex, astelin, zyrtec, and gentamicin nasal irrigation. I do not want to go under another surgery. What else can I do?

I got sick at work about 7 months ago with nausea. I threw up and have had nausea ever since. I had all stomach test done and all was good. They said it was due to depression and anxiety. Now I have headaches everyday. I wake up like Iam hungover, but do not drink. I also feel off blance sometimes and still have slight nausea, that is worse in the moring. My vision seems ok, but sometimes seems kinda foggy. The headaches are usally on the right side of my head, but sometime in the back or the left side. Now I am scard and think I have a tumor or a brain problem. 2 differnt docs told me it is due to anxiety and want me on meds. Could it be all anxiety or should I keep going back. I have had anxiety for a while, but it never caused phsyicall problems like this before. I always feel like crap and worring. What should I do. Anyone who has experiance thsi plez help and antone who had a tumor or has had how did you feel?

Today I noticed that there is a painful lump about the size of a marble (maybe a little smaller) on the right side of my neck. It is right where my jawbone ends. About 4 inches or so below my ear. You can not see the lump ... But, I can feel it. It is really painful. Sorta like a bad bruise. I can feel it some when I turn my head. IF I push on it it hurts real bad. I am terrified. I am a naturally easily scared person. I have heard that if you are sick than something like this could happen , but I haven't been sick. I just noticed it today. Should I see a doctor , or wait and see if it goes away? Has anyone experienced this before?

Every time i go to BestBuy Circuit City and Gamestop, without fail, my stomach cramps up and i get really bad diarehha. I know that htese stores have all kinds of sensors and frequencies being emitted from their products...can this cause the cramping and subsequent bowel movement? I am serious as I love these stores, but I never get to shop because I spend my whole time in the ladies room. Or I end up leaving because im afraid of having an accident before i hit the bathroom. This used to happen at Old Navy as well...someone told me it could have been the glue for the carpeting doing it

IBS? Do you think it's just a doctors way of dismissing something they can't find wrong with you?
A year ago I got told I had IBS. I was certain it wasn't and a year later after pushing to have more tests I have been diagnosed and being treated for something completely different and the pains are going away.
A friend of my mum has also been told she has IBS, although none of the tablets or avoiding food helps her either.

Do you think it's a load of b.s**t ?

I was just informed by the Cardiologist that I need a defibrillator implanted in my chest. My heart condition (Cardioyopathy) has become very serious and I am at risk for "sudden death". My doctor has me very frightened. I have looked up a lot of information online and what I read also scares me. I'm afraid of the possible adverse effects, I am worried about how the scar and appearance of how the defibrillator will look since it will be inserted just under the skin beneath my collar bone. Will it distort the smooth look of clothing and will it be seen when I wear a low neck outfit? I know I have no other choice but have the surgery. But I am worrying myself sick. This surgery was to be scheduled as soon as possible, but because I also need a hysterectomy at this time (tumor on my ovary) the doctor now wants to wait to do the defibrillator after the hysterectorectory in case it's malignant and I need radiation. I am absolutely LOST. I hope someone has an answer for me.

I was diagnosed about 2 months ago with an underactive thyroid "hypothyroidism". I've been on Synthroid 0.05mg since then. Just 3 days ago, I started having problems catching my breath, taking deep breaths and just feeling out of breath even when sitting still and it gets quite scary. I've read that, that could be because the dosage is too high?. I can't make an appointment with my doctor until tomorrow and not sure when he can get me in. So would it be safe to stop my medication until I get in to see my doctor? Has anyone else expericenced this?

I'm 16 .my skin lost firmness and radiance after I used several acne treatments and moisturisers ( which claimed to give me healthier looking skin with less spots...)

I still have spots, but my skin is just sooo dry, flaky, pale and unfirm. I think my skin is prematurely aging!

yet, I don't want to use any more moisturisers or treatments because I don't trust them any more:(

I'm so annoyed about my skin and don't know what to do ..I'm only 16 and it's not fair that I have to go through this because of the facial creams I used
I used neutrogena , clearasil and boots botanics . they're all rubbish, worked for a few days then ruined my skin

:( :( :( :( PLZ help
