My boyfriend woke me up in the middle of the night. He swore he was freezing cold. We took his temperature and it came to 100.3 degrees. He's been shivering (even lying next to me and under four blankets). He is also complaining of mild chest pain when he takes a deep breath. And he has a sore throat.
We don't have insurance and he's adment about not going in to the medical center. Do you think this is just a common flu? Or something more serious?

I'm going to try and convince him to go in.....he's worrying me.

Hi ive had the flu since sunday (today is now thursday) Ive felt weak and tired very achey ! Hot and cold phases and a bad cough... Im starting to feel the tiniest bit better today but im still so achey and have no energy...... I really need to better i have not yet got all my xmas shopping or even started wrapping... any advice? I just wanna feel a little more normal even getting up the stairs is a struggle!

and i have seen needles there a couple times but the ditch was filled with leaves and my bookbag handle fell on the top of the leaves and i was worried that there was blodd on the leaves and i backpack on and went home and than i ate a cookie i forgot to wash my hands and i was wonderig if i could get aids from eating that cookie

Some year ago whilst visiting in a nursing home, a patients call bell was heard to ring,from the room,I was there, and I know this is, fact,the patient had passed away the day before and no other person was in the room this bell, rang three times the electrician was called, and found no fault wth the electronics, I though that, was weired.the desceased lady had been a patient for a number of years very well liked by staff.

In the summer months,I worked on a dairy farm.The fleas would attack me by the hundreds and yet they wouldn't touch other people.Why is this?By the way,I had to quit that job because of those nasty fleas.....I was covered with bites that itched and oozed severely.Why did they attack me only?

now, I've been sick for a few days, but I haven't had any vomiting or diarreha yet.

My brother went out to eat with his fiancee's grandpa and when he came home from work about 10 hours later, he vomited once, then felt better, just weak and tired.

The next morning (today) he felt ok compared to the night before, while not 100%, but decided to go out, and has been out from 5pm to now going on 1am and he's still not back, so he must be ok enough to stay out.

My question is.... if I've been sick for 2 days, nauseas but able to hold food down, is there still a chance I have or am coming down with the stomach flu

and did my brother have the stomach flu, or does it sound like food poisoning? cause I'm hand sanitizing, Lysol spraying, bleaching everything so I don't get sicker than I already am...

how sudden can the flu come on? can you be fine one second and puking a few hours later? and how long till I know if I have the stomach flu or something else (like influenza.)

Since my partner and I had sexual intercourse (both vaginal and anal) 3 weeks ago, I have had rectal pain. It has greatly increased in the past week. Now I have small pimple like bumps around my rectum and larger bumps on my labia majora, and above my clitoris. They are all painful. I have no burning, discharge, painful urination. They are not clustered or cauliflower like in appearance. The bumps around my rectum itch but the others do not. HELP!

OK. I am terrified because what if the person who took my blood for a blood test at the doctor's office used an infected needle?

Right on the inner part of my arm, where they usually take blood from, is itchy at times and has a shiny look to the area and I think I got my blood taken about a week or 2 ago.

What is this from?

I also have a small bump where the needle went in.

I have a small bump on my cheek that my dr said was a sebaceous cyst. About a year ago he said to squeeze it to keep the size down, at the time squeezing would make a small amount of smelly oil come out, but now squeezing makes some whitish cottage-cheese like substance (also smelly) come out. The doc told me that it would be very hard to find a plastic surgeon that would operate on it because it was very hard to avoid scarring in that area. My question is whether I should keep on with the periodic squeezing or if I should go in to see the doctor again?

whenever i have my period, there are two bumps that start to get really itchy... what could be causing this?
it started about a year ago, i have my period, and an itchy swelling, like an insect bite appeared in my buttcheek. i put menthol balm in it, thinking it was an insect bite... then after the period, the itch subsided, but a dark scar was left. then after a few months another itchy swelling/ rash appeared at the spot of my tailbone, before the butt crack...
i observed that it is related to my menstruation, as it is the only moment that they itch really bad (a burning itch).
i've been having them for a long time already... i also noticed that they get even more severe when it is hot and i'm sweating, what could this be? help. i am really bothered with it. it is so unaattractive too.

Hi.. I would have to be the most untrusting& safe person in the world, but some how I have contracted an std, called Chlamydia.. I have had two encounters both with people I trusted, my ex and my new partner, both whom I made have two std screens before no condoms. My ex and I seperated for two months and in that time he had sex with at least one other person "protected" but there was at the time Chlamydia going around like wild fire in his group of friends, and my current partner had been with two other women "protected"one of them only once and the other only twice. My partner now has been fully std screened and all clear and my ex just calls me a ****, and says he has been and is clear too, it has been about 3.5 months since I had sex with him and I am worried after my std screens came back all clear, do I need another? might I just add I think I am making myself sick with worry, I have body aches, tired, sore back, lower abdo pain swollen glans.. My baby is sick and I took him to the pediatrician and he said he had broncholitist. A couple days later he developed a fever of 102.8 so Irushed him to the hospital. They did a chest X-ray and told me he had RSV. They put him in the hospital and started him on Rocephin, steroids, and oxygen. I am worried because he is only 6 months old. He is on oxygen because his O2 keeps dropping to the 80's. I am just wondering is RSV and bronchiolitist the same thing or are we facing two different infections? And is there anything more they can be doing for my baby?

Someone I know had a high blood pressure of 200! He went to the Dr. that day but since then he has been having sweating , dizziness constantly since the past week His symptoms started since the day his blood pressure rose!

He's afraid he's getting/going to get a heart attack. This sweating, dizziness has been occuring too often. What do we do to prevent a heart attack!?? What do we do when we suspect someone is getting a heart attack? Please help!
