Go to a different doctor. Your chest should not hurt. You could have any number of cold related problems or heart problems. If a doctor doesn't listen to what you say and then check you thoroughly, especially with chest pains, get a different doctor. I just found out I have what is known as an athlete's heart-thickened walls. It can be inherited or develop as you get older. I have the symptons you talk about. When I exert myself I get pressure and feel like if I could burp I would be ok and sometimes I do and I am. Someone should have spotted this sooner in my life but didn't. So don't work yourself into a dither, but go get checked thoroughly to be sure what's wrong. And, it does sound like your cold has gone to your chest and that would give you pain too. So if the pain is just now-during the cold-don't dance until you're better. If the pains were before or continue definitely go get another doctor.

calm down, i have the same problem sometimes , its just when you dance your heart rate speeds up and it trys to keep up with your rate and blood flow through the body , i run track in school so i know just when you feel out of breathe stop for a sec and raise your arms high this helps circulate blood and oxygen to your body, or you could sit down....... just dont stress your self its okay your health like your doctor said

You could have excercised induced asthma. Ask your doctor to send you to a specialist or give you medication, If he doesn't, go to a different doctor and get a second opinion.

wait till you get over your cold, then work at it as much as possible, if it really hurts take small steps at a time and gradually improve, im sure it will be a slow process but its affective.
