Don't allow those people who says it feels like nothing tell you that. Its nothing to fear but you do have to have an I.V. First you usually get a funky taste in your mouth and then It makes you extremely hot for a couple of minutes and then you feel like you may have wet yourself but you dont..usually. Its done within seconds.

I get CT scans twice a year the CT tube is only about 2.5 ft deep and you don't think about that it makes it much easer the Dye is injected from outside of the room the dye will feel warm and you might feel like you have to urinate but it pass. This is not like a PET scan or a MRI those tubes can be over 5 fl deep

I just had a nuclear stress test and I could tell that it was going into my arm and then around my body but there was absolutely no pain, it was just a weird feeling. The relief at getting it over and knowing I didn't have any blockages was so great. I find it very hard to put myself in someone else's hands but when it comes to my health, I give in to whatever has to be done. Whatever's up, you need to know and the test is the means to control your health. Learn to close your eyes, think of something else, and deep breath. It will keep your blood pressure down and stop you from freaking yourself out. And then it's over. . .

It's not scary at all and does not hurt- it goes in through an IV.
I have panic disorder and suffer from panic attacks so anytime I have had an MRI/scan of that sort, the doctor would give me medication to take 30 minutes to an hour before my appointment so I would be alright during the scan- you can ask your doctor about this and most are willing to give you something so you stay calm.

Oh I hate that stuff. I get that feeling of peeing myself too. LOL I really don't know why it does that though. I was just wondering why you couldn't get a copy of the images. usually when i get a scan or something like that, the place i go to, Tri Cat, gives me the images that day. They send the report to the doctor though, and he reads that. I then bring the images to him when I go to my appointment. most of them say they don't really know how to read ex-rays though they mostly go by the report. Why don't you ask them if you can get a copy?

really it depends on you. I've had the dye three times twice it felt cold. once I didn't feel it all. Honestly though some people do have allergic reactions but they will monitor you for that. I don't think it ever "hurts." I hope you get well.

The dye is just a simple I V that runs through you. You won't feel it at all.

Feels like a chocolate ice cream on the frontal lobe!
It's dye only! You're not supposed to feel anything!

When I've had it, the die made me feel a little warm and almost drunk for a few minutes. You don't drink it but it still gave the sense of a goofy taste, but it wasn't unpleasant.
