I think you're safe,I'll bet you wash your hands better now.I do volunteer yard work for a neighbourhood Church,& often come across discarded needles,I don't always wear gloves & I know not to be poked by one,but I have no fear to pick them up carefully & put in a jar I later send for safe destuction.I always keep my hands away from my face anyways,& living nearby I wash my hands asap. However I will not touch a condem,if I find one,I'll use a stick right to trash.A good Church,...go figure? You'll be okay.

It is sad that with all the information out there that there are people who still don't understand how AIDS is contracted. The virus cannot live outside the human body, it must be transferred Directly through bodily fluids and must enter the person either through mouth, open wound, sexually transmitted or through a needle/transfusion. NO ONE has ever contracted AIDS by touching leaves and failing to wash their hands.

I seroiusly doubt that you would catch aids from a bookbag falling into a ditch. If you suffered from a needlestick injury, then yes, I would be concerned and woiuld advise you to go straight to hospital. They would then probably advise you to take a HIV test. I'm sure that you have nothing to worry about .

The chances that the users of the needles have aids is very low, also that you somehow got blood on your backpack and it entered your body is even lower. I mean unbeleivably low
