Hello! I have a quick question. While I was at the dentist today, something happened that concerns me quite a bit. My dental office is euipped with computers in which the Dentists can see X-rays on, and I noticed that while the Dentist was working on my teeth, he started working with the computer mouse, and then started cleaning my teeth again, with his hands in ym mouth. The mouse didn't look that dirty, but it didn't look very clean, either. I know that a lot of the Dentists out their bare hands on the "mice".

Is it possible for me to get sick from the germs that were on the mouse? What do you think? Am I overthinking it?

He recently got in a fight, and has since complained of a significant amount of pain just underneath his armpit around his ribs. He also finds it hard to breath, and has been coughing up specs of blood, not copious amounts but enough to be worried about. Could anyone give me a brief explanation on what this may be and how i can help him? I will be taking him to A & E this evening but am at work right now.

Well, I started puberty when I was 9, so my face broke out often. Over the years, it appears that I've developed a strange cross between acne (not 3d or nothing, VERY flat pimples, and there's a lot but you can't really see them because of redness), rosacea, eczema, and possibly more. Every doctor I've seen GUESSES that it's acne. I've tried so many creams and pills for ACNE, but this isn't acne! Acne is much different than this. It's very difficult to explain, but it's mostly grungy redness on relatively rough skin, only on my cheeks and the sides of my face down to just before my chin.

Would laser surgery help or something like that? When I wake up in the morning, my face is bumpy (from those weird massive amounts of incredibly tiny pimples I get), but it isn't red, but 5 minutes later, it's red AND bumpy.

It's not red where I have a scar on the side of my face though-the scar is just my normal skin color, along with those non-bumpy 1" spaces from my jaw.

My face annoys me a lot.

This is the 8th week that I have had wheezing, shortness of breath, adventitious breath sounds. I went to the MD and got an albuterol neb, an inhaler, and antibiotics. Just finished the antibiotics on 12/15 and still have same physical complaints. Should I go back to the MD?

About 2 years ago I had a job that was very stressful and one day I was on the verge of a breakdown, my heart started fluttering. I rushed home and was naseaus and finally calmed down and was mush better. I have had 3 ekgs done, the doctors said that they were all fine. I even had one done when my heart was fluttering and it was normal. I have been diagnosed with anxiety. Sometimes I can go weeks or months with no heart flutters but sometimes they start and last for awhile. Everyone says they are just anxiety related. I kind of think so because they happen when I am nervous sometimes or when I travel cause I have homesickness or any where that I go I have to know the nearest hospital route. But sometimes they happen for no apperant reason. Maybe alot or sometimes just one or two. I have never had high bp not even when I was carrying my 3 kids. Im going to CA for vacation this summer and I am scared to go. What if something happens on the drive out there? Is it just anxiety related?

I am 5'8" 20 years old Arabic Male. I weigh about 120 pounds maybe less. I have some homestead like a slightly crooked spine and if you call can imagine supper thin and long arms long limbs. Along with a long face. I also wear glasses.
My physical appearance says I have it. But I been tested for the lungs and such and every thing healthy. (they were not search for any signs of Marfan Syndrome but it still came out good)
My daily life style is like this. I eat maybe once a day a meal not to big and squeeze a bunch of small snacks like candy or chips between.
I never have an appetite so I smoke weed to get one. I also smoke about 2 packs of cigarettes a week.
I do all that cause I may or may not be depressed. I am not sure I have my good and bad days. So what do you think?
Do I have it or its just poor habits?
I have to see a specialist soon but geez. I am not ready for bad news.

if a person attends a gathering and gets contact with second-hand smoke for 2 hours, how does that affect him. Will their lungs and body detxify itself. Is there a chart that states ie: 6 people smoke in a room, then you will be affected this specific way, and the body will detoxify itself by this way.
I read that Short exposures to secondhand smoke can cause blood platelets to become stickier, damage the lining of
blood vessels, decrease coronary flow velocity
reserves, and reduce heart rate variability,
potentially increasing the risk of a heart attack.

Secondhand smoke contains many chemicals that can
quickly irritate and damage the lining of the airways.
Even brief exposure can result in upper airway changes
in healthy persons and can lead to more frequent and
more asthma attacks in children who already have
asthma.
But what is considered brief exposure?

My cousins grandpa has pancreatic cancer that has spread to his brain and all through his body. The hospital gave him less than a month to live. The morphine isn't really helping the pain and he is deteriorating day by day. He had surgery last week and was fine! But this is such a surprise. They are supposed to come over Christmas Eve, we exchange gifts and everything. Do you think they will come. And even worse.. What are his chances? Good advice please. This is not a joke.. it is completely and totally serious. Thanks.

I started putting Selsun Blue on my body for a few days to treat my tinea versicolor. It seems like just on the areas I applied, the skin is spotty and red, and i feel this prickly itching/burning sensation. I washed it off completely. Will it go away on it's own?
Why is this happening if my skin is not normally sensitive?
