I have been taking acutane for 4 months now and i have seen barely any results. I know people say finish up the 6 months but all that its doing is causing everything to scab. If someone out there can please help with info it would be greatly appreciated

I have a friend who took accutane. It didn't work for him until after the 6 months and his skin looked scabby and dry in the meantime. BUT on the plus side, he hasn't had acne since and looks fantastic! It was worth it for him. I would wait it out before trying any more medications which could make your skin worse when used together.

Have you tried Proactiv?

I actually know first hand that it works. My sister and I both had acne pretty bad as teens and saw the commercials on T.V. We figured why not try it, and we did. It worked like a miracle. It's not that expensive reality for the results you want. Maybe 20 dollars once every 2 months, varying what system you decide to use. I use the 5 piece with oil control still today and have healthy beautiful skin.

Good luck to you.

Acne can be embarrassing at the best of times. I would try going into a site called Epinions.com and find out what users are saying about various products. Good hygene which involves regular bathing helps a lot. Good internal health is a major contributor to healthy skin. Try and stay away from the junk foods. I’ve also had good luck with a product called Acnezine. Good luck:>:>

ive just finished taking roaccutane
im assuming thats the same thing, ur probs in a diff country or sumthin but anyway, if it is the same it took about 4 months for it to do anything for me then it cleared up like straight away, but they took me off it after 4 months anyway because it depends on stuff like gender, weight and age etc. how long you should stay on it.

So give it another month and it might work wonders for you too. but it doesnt work for everyone so if it doesnt youll just have to go to the dermotologist again and see if they can do anything.

hope that helps :-)

Well I have been taking ProActive and it has worked wonders for me. Within the first 2 weeks, I was almost cleared up. There's also this blue type of face wash you can get at Wal Mart that works pretty good too.

well i have literally tryed every acne medicine there is out there and the one that worked really good for me was called anture's cure. you take a pill in the morning and night and there is a cream you have to put on too. it comes in a special box for girls and guys and you can find it at walmart so its not extremely expensive jst make sure you get the one with the pill. other than that i found that when i stopped eating sugar my acne cleared up alot too. hope this helps

my sister took acutane and she had the same symptoms, but her acne disappeared like magic later on.

she had tried proactive first and found it only made it worse. see your dermatologist and tell him/her what's going on and see if there are any other ways that you could help get rid of the problem

HI,
Stay away from chocolate, dark soda and greasy foods.
You can still drink soda such as...sprite, 7-up the clear ones.

I dunno about Acutane results but I do know if you wash your face with IVORY, or DOVE everyday...you will see results quickly.
Just make sure you wash your face as often as you brush your teeth,

Talk to your GP or a chemist. They'll work out the problem (you probably don't have the right kind of medicine for it)
