Well, I started puberty when I was 9, so my face broke out often. Over the years, it appears that I've developed a strange cross between acne (not 3d or nothing, VERY flat pimples, and there's a lot but you can't really see them because of redness), rosacea, eczema, and possibly more. Every doctor I've seen GUESSES that it's acne. I've tried so many creams and pills for ACNE, but this isn't acne! Acne is much different than this. It's very difficult to explain, but it's mostly grungy redness on relatively rough skin, only on my cheeks and the sides of my face down to just before my chin.

Would laser surgery help or something like that? When I wake up in the morning, my face is bumpy (from those weird massive amounts of incredibly tiny pimples I get), but it isn't red, but 5 minutes later, it's red AND bumpy.

It's not red where I have a scar on the side of my face though-the scar is just my normal skin color, along with those non-bumpy 1" spaces from my jaw.

My face annoys me a lot.

And yes, I've seen dermatologists too. =( They prescribed accutane and some creams. Accutane was like torture.

Have you seen a dermatologist? i would really recommend that. These are skin specialists.

Good luck!

Well it could be two different skin conditions at the same time that's why just acne meds don't work.I have never heard of an allergy just on the face but anything is possible.First thing look at your diet, seriously, then your urine it should be clear to pale yellow.A strong urine or cloudy is infection somewhere.Get tested for diabetes,be kind to your skin DO NOT use abrasives mild soap and water are best.Give each thing you do time to work, sometimes it takes a month to see any difference, and last don't give up,go to your libary and get educated on healthy skin, your dr. has overlooked something.God bless you.

maybe when you were younger, your skin condition was misdiagnosed as acne. they probably treated you for acne (even though it may have not been) which probably damaged your skin severely. i have acne (the real kind)...i found out that all those heavy-duty skin creams do damage skin greatly (redness,roughness,etc.). so now i use internal stuff like birth control pills or antibiotics. basically, what I'm trying to say is, maybe you have severely damaged skin. my was quite similar to yours...two years later... and my skin is finally tolerable. im sorry im not really helping with the diagnosis...just what may have caused it. for now...id recommend a VERY mild face wash (i use olay oil/soap free face wash)...and i also recommend putting flax oil on your face at bedtime (break open a capsule and put the oil on)...that does miracles for redness for me.

Sounds like Keratosis pilaris. Google it and look at some pics and see if they look similar.
