Depends on site and size of clot, symptoms and age counts very much. It will be advisable to consult your Cardiologist which procedure will be safe as you are a HIGH RISK patient if the clot has formed. This is a sincere advise, go to your doctor.
If you have not form a clot avoid all disposing factors, do physical, eat healthy, and Aspirin or Ascard 70 to 100 mg a day.

I agree with the person above. I 'got over' a blood clot, and while it wasn't fun, I'm fine today. The only long lasting effect I've had, other than having to take a higher dose of bloodthinners, is a small heart murmur, since that's where my clot was. But again, it depends on when you get it treated, where it is, and how you react to the treatment.

It depends where the clot was located, how big it was, if you received timely treatment.... You need to provide more info because this is too general a question!
