IBS? Do you think it's just a doctors way of dismissing something they can't find wrong with you?
A year ago I got told I had IBS. I was certain it wasn't and a year later after pushing to have more tests I have been diagnosed and being treated for something completely different and the pains are going away.
A friend of my mum has also been told she has IBS, although none of the tablets or avoiding food helps her either.

Do you think it's a load of b.s**t ?

I think IBS does exist. I have got it, or so I have been told. I have tests and everything was normal. Tablets did not help either. Strange thing mine gets better when I go away on holiday, even though I eat exactly the same food then it comes back when I get back home
