My symptoms:
VERY tired.
Losing appetite
Constant headache
Stuffy nose
Sore throat
and
I have been really sad for no reason lately.

If you could help that would be GREAT!! lol
But please. Help. Me. Urgently.

Be sure that you and your friend get yourself checked because my stepmom had a friend who had mono for over 6 months and when they found out, it was too late and she ended up dying. I never knew that mono could kill you but it could...so be sure to go to the doctor ASAP!

My nephew had mono a few months ago (he is 2) and had a very high fever on and off for 10 days at the start. He also had some of your symptoms as well. We took him to the ER and a simple blood test is all it takes to know whether or not you have mono so please have this done immediately.

If you have mono, you will have an enlarged liver and it is important that you know for sure. You will want to make sure you do not participate in any sport, etc, or activity that you might possibly get hit in the area of your liver during the time you have active mono.

Is there a reason you haven't gone to the doctor yet? Have someone take you there and get the mono test done!

PS there is no medicine for mono. You basically treat the symptoms (like Tylenol for the headache and sore throat) but there is nothing to do but let it run it's course.

And if you do go to the doctor they might give you vicodine. My doctor did ... of course i screamed when she checked the glands on my stomach.... but anyway the sore throat is the main thing. then the tiredness. My doc told me that I had mono but I was only sick for a week whereas my friend got it over a year ago and he's still sick and constantly tired... Go to the doctor especially if you start to cramp really bad in the area near your spleen... I don't know if I had mono but it's something to get checked out... apparently everyone gets it at some point.

It does sound like mono. You need to go to the doctor and get tested.

It sounds like it. My neighbor had it a couple of months ago and she had the same symptoms (not the kissing kind). I would go to the doctor. She was really sick and stayed in the bed for almost 2 weeks.

Are you so tierd that you could fall asleep any place at any minute? Cause that's the biggest syntom. Also your throat should be like, really sore.

The constant headache is the first clue.
