my kitten scratched a mole on my arm and it bled quite a bit, I cleaned it with alcohol but it is still bleeding a bit and looks bruised. It's not a mole brought on by the sun, it's one I've had my whole life, but it almost looks like it's lifting up a bit on the side, as long as I slap some triple antibiotic and a bandaid on it, it should be fine, right?

My dad had a physical which included a blood test and an EKG three months ago. Two weeks ago from today he started having trouble breathing and he looked terrible and the color of his skin was silver and his stomach started to swell so he went to his doctor the next day and they could hear bowel sounds up by his heart and lungs and told him that he would be ok. Four days later while he was on his way to work he had a massive heartattack and died instantly. And when the autopsy came back the corner said that he had thyroid cancer!!! And that all three of his arteries were pretty much blocked(90-91-99%) And that fluid was building up around his heart and lungs. And we called clinic to get O2 level and they said that they couldnt give out that kind of information. My fathers O2 level should have gave them a clue that he was not getting enough oxygen. And he had a thyroid gland 5x larger than the nornmal size! His was 155grams. He was a healthy 65 year old man too that excercised daily.

I woke up this morning to a really sore right eye, and I kept touching it to see where it hurt. Well I went and looked in the mirror and right on the line of my eyelashes, like where you would wear eyeliner (top lid) there is a slightly pink bump, and it really hurts. What is this?

I am a 44 yr old wht/ native american female. I have had chronic iron deficiency anemia since high school.
I received iron shots as a teen, then due to extremely heavy periods, had an iron infussion in 2004. (blood work showed less than 8 HGB and immeasurable iron).
Since 2006 I have had fewer and fewer cycles and this year have only had three and they were very light and short. However I continue to get more and more anemic (eventhough I take 5 ferigon iron day). On 9/17/07 I was admitted to the hospital , received 2 units of blood. My HGB 8; HCT 26.2; MCV 64.8; RDW 19.7; PLT 364; Lymph 16.8; chemistry was: CL 10.8; Iron 5.55; TIBC 530; Ferritin less than 1total bilirubin 0.2. Symptoms: extreme fatigue, pale, low grade temp of 99 or so and WBC 9.5. No blood found in stool with card test.
Only other test was an ultrasound-neg. HGB and iron continue to fall even without cycles. No answers. Dr. still blaming Heavy cycles???? not the case. Family hist of cancer, Leukemia etc. HELP!!

The specialist at the hospital said it was an intolerance to certain fats found in food.He put me on reflux tablets and Ive never had a problem since.Unfortunately its started again.Best way to describe it is try imagining youve eaten 50 hard boiled eggs.Thats what its like 27/7.Makes you feel tired too although I never am actually sick.
Anybody had any similar problems?
