I woke up this morning to a really sore right eye, and I kept touching it to see where it hurt. Well I went and looked in the mirror and right on the line of my eyelashes, like where you would wear eyeliner (top lid) there is a slightly pink bump, and it really hurts. What is this?

This is a sty. It will take a couple of days of warm packs. A good way to keep the heat is by boiling an egg and wrapping in a damp cloth the heat should last quite awhile. The doc's will tell you the same thing so don't waste your time or money--sometimes if it is really swollen they may lance it but use the heat first and it will go away. There is no way to prevent these.

That sounds like a stye, which is a block and infected gland. These glands run vertically on the eyelid. Use a warm (as hot as you can take) washcloth and place on eye for a half hour 4 or more times a day.
