Fully knowing that she had an STD, my friend had sex with her now ex-boyfriend, and didn't tell him about the STD. He was tested, and was positive for HPV. He says that she can get jail time for it, and she comes crying to me, as her best friend.

I heard that in Washington state, you cannot get jail time for that unless it is HIV or AIDS. True?

Any advice? I don't want her to go to jail. So any advice for either of us would be great.

if someone that you know had mono, several years ago, does it stay in their system, and then becomes transferable from her to others? or does it go away once it is treated?

can bodily fluids (saliva, and otherwise) transfer this even several years later or is it safe and is gone? thanks alot for any REAL answers :)

My husband just found out he had shingles. I used a liquid band aide to cover the rash till he sees a doctor tomorow. We have a 7 year old but she has not had any direct contact with his rash. We are just concerned that since it is the same virus as chicken pox what precaustions should we take. Besides just making sure she does not go near the rash.

Shouldn't the women, who had sex with him, without using protection, also be charged with something, as they were also spreading the disease because of their choices of behavior. They wouldn't have been exposed had they used protection, or refused to have sex without it. We only blame the men, but isn't anyone not using protection as much at fault?

I have continous chest pains (like pressure), upper back pain, feel exhausted, often confused, and have started coughing lately. I've had bouts of hard time breathing & physically shaking in my hands, legs etc. with being very cold & dizzy. I've been to the ER numerous times & had ECGs done but they do not show anything. My doctor says I have to lose weight. But my weight hasn't changed from last year & all of a sudden I started getting these pains. I feel like I am dying. I used to read, garden ,walk & now I just want to sleep all day. I can't even climb a flight of stairs. I'm a chubby 33 year old & was in good health before, except for the weight gain. I used to be athletic & run but quit due to a knee injury about 3 years ago & have put on about 60 lbs since. I called Telecare once & they told me to go straight to the ER cause I was having a cardiac episode, but the ER doctor didn't even examine me...didn't even come within 3 feet. Anyone have any ideas? I feel like an idiot.

What are the dietary restrictions after the gallbladder is removed. I got sick after eating some real greasy food and someone told me it was because I had my gallbladder removed. Thing is, I had it removed twenty four years ago when I was barely twenty one years old. Why would I be having problems with greasy food now?

I have been diagnosed with anal warts. It is uncomfortable discussing this. When I date women, I frequently ask them to manipulate my rectum with their fingers and/or tongue. Am I required to tell them about my condition? Is it dangerous not to tell them?

Im 16, and just tonight I have been expierencing joint pain in the knees and ankles sometimes other areas, and a low grade fever. I feel ok otherwise, a little tired, but that's about it. I had a cold last friday, but that seemed to have subsided. Is it anything to be concerned about? I do have joint pains other times, but they usually go away and are not ucompanied by a fever. Any Ideas? Could I be going through a growth spurt? I am short and haven't had one yet.
