I was on statins for 20 years but I developed side effects. I eat very healthfully, exercising most days. My HDL has climbed to 50 while my total cholesterol rose from 148 to 254. If the test results indicate my LDL is good, am I home free after all these years? I'm an active 58 year-old female.

I've had this lump on my left side of my neck for ever since I was 15, 16?
Gradually over time it has gotten bigger.
Maybe a month or so I finally asked the dr. about it and as usual I got the well its been there for 5 years and nothing has happened answer.

NOW, I have lumps on my hand, legs, feet and even my stomach. They are under the skin and are hard, yet hurt lwhen you touch them. One has even GROSS I know, opened up. (on my hand)
I'm tired a ton and get migraines constantly.
I've scheduled anopther appointment, with the intent of saying nothing has happpened in 5 years, well wtf is happening now???

HAs anyone experienced this and if so what was it, did the dr's give you a run around as well?
I'm starting get really worried about it all.

For the past 1 1/2 year I have been experiencing full time pain in both legs with the following symptoms: numbness, pinching, swollen, burning, cold, hard feet in the morning, tingling to name a few. I was sure it was veins/circulation related but had all the tests done and they could not find anything wrong. Now my doctors have no idea where all this comes from and for the past 2 weeks I have two red bumps growing on my legs (bottom front). I thought for sure they were blood clot, but again they have no idea what they are. I am very scared and don’t know where to turn anymore! Please help!

I have not started new meds, or new supplements, I exfoliate and use the same cleansers I have used for a decade plus, no new diet, and yet at 28, I have a lot of little pimples below my lower lip and my chin. No different diet, I'm still dating same guy I've been with for years, not a cold sore (get those every 5 or so years so I know,) what could be up? Any ideas? 28 is pretty old to be breaking out and this has been going on 3+ months. :S Please note, I know they are pimples, so don't tell me its a rash of some sort, lol, I KNOW WHAT a pimple is, thanx. ;)

Last week I went to my dermatologist to have some bumps removed off of my neck. His office just called and told me that the biopsy he took came back as Neurofibroma and he wants to see me because he is concerned because I have so many. Does anyone know what neurofibroma is and is this something that I should worry about? I can't go to see the dr. until the middle of next week...should I be really worried? I looked Neurofibroma up on the internet, but really couldn't understand what it is or if it's dangerous.

can the arsnic be hazardous. i used a garden blower and didnt use a mask, and after i have had a cough ever since. remembered i had cut up alot of treated pine splits months earlier, in the same spot. i also wonder about the hazard of mdf particle board.

Anyone had SUCH bad reflux that took many months but finally felt "cured" after a few months? I know that people have written that the drugs worked after a month or so. im 14 year old teenage boy.
Ive got a torch and looked into the back of my mouth using a mirror and i have like..white dots at the back of my throat and the back is all swollen and red. Also it's blocked my ears, i can see also that inside the mouth where the ear canals and mouth join that it's blocked with either mucus or something rather discusting. It really hurts to swollow. What shall i do? Any ideas what this is?

I have had chronic pain for 12 years and in April,2006 I developed shingles on Rt side of cervical area. Then in May I developed a Rt kidney infection, sepsis and pneumonia. I was in the hosp. for 12 days and still trying to recoup. Of course my chronic pain came back and I resigned from my employment because the thought of tolerating the pain at work anymore is frightening and causing much anxiety. I was just put on Lyrica for post shingles pain. Will this just help the pain or will it take it away for ever? I also had shingles when I was 27. I was recently sent to a neurologist, blood work, brain scan , MRI of neck(the pain comes from my neck due to degeneration,etc) and now to a neurosurgeon,who wanted to do an exploratory last year, next week. I am also restarting psychotherapy for increased depression. I am applying for social security disability.
Basically how much can Lyrica help and can it harm my kidneys? My kidney is normal.
