I am very, very sorry to hear that... When it is your time to go (And I hope that day is many years away) may God give you peace and comfort.
Ask the hospice nurses for stronger medication... often if you have a terminal illness or a prognosis that only grants you a short time to live, they will give you much stronger drugs that would be unavailable to you otherwise, like large doses of morphine. My grandfather, who just passed away a few weeks ago, was in hospice care before he died and I am immensely glad for it. Ask the nurses what resources are available to you for pain relief.

A hospice has many medications at their disposal. The whole premise they work under is to help the terminally ill, and have death with dignity and as pain free as possible. Talk to them and they can adjust your medication.
I have had several of my Friends pass with cancer, several I have been with when they made their trip. In dealing with many different hospice offices, I can tell you that they do care and it takes a special person, to work with someone that has cancer, forge a bond with them, knowing that death is around the corner.
Talk with your nurse and see what they can do to help with the pain.

i dont know what your condition is but if hospice has stepped in then it is terminal. if your meds are not controlling the pain , tell your nurse , call the hospice office , you can reach them 24/7 . they will help you , hospice is about end of life comfort . they are doing a wonderful job for my 17 yr old son who is dying of brainstem cancer.

Please call your Hospice and explain to them how you feel, they should be able to give you something to control the pain. If they can't do it in your home, they should take you to their Hospice inpatient unit and help you there...There are also social workers and clergy who can help you mentally, don't give up..Hospice can help....I have been with the Hospice in my home town for 11 years, and I know that they can help and will. Best of luck to you.

I think you should rest and conceltrate on getting well. There are programs out there that will type for you. I know because I have seen people in wheelchairs that cant use their hands and just talk . They are real expensive though.
You can search voice controlled computer for disabled.

I was told by a dr. regarding cancer, that you dont have to live with pain, you should be on suitable drugs to control the pain, if you are not getting it, get someone to sort it out immediately, you dont have to suffer like this. Please insist today, i wish i could speak to them to get u help. Go and ask, dont wait any longer. Good Luck
