For the past year or so I've been experiencing extreme rapid heartbeat after consuming alcohol. I'm an occasional drinker (well, used to be) like on special occasions only. This rapid heartbeat will occur even after having one small drink. It scared me so bad that I will not touch alcohol with a ten foot pole - no matter what!

Does this sound like a symptom of heart failure or heart disease? I'm 30 years old and I'm a smoker. I also experience swelling of the calves and ankles after sitting at my desk all day at work.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I have a irregular heartbeat it beats too fast..I think it is called "Tacacardia" dont hold me to the spelling i dont know if it is the right ways to spell it or not but anyways..I want to lose weight sooo bad but i dont know what i can take or do..Plus I have alot of water build up in my body..Im only 23 and need help..I have two little kids and would love to get out and play with them without losing my breath..Im not real big but IM short and it makes me look heavier than I am...Im like 5 2 or somethin and weigh 230 lbs..So if you have any help please fill me in...

I know that I have an eating disorder but so far I've been pretty good about hiding it. I seem to remember reading somewhere though that if the skin under your fingernails are more bluish grey instead of light pink it's a sign of malnourishment but I haven't been able to ever find it again. I ask because recently I've noticed this same discoloration on my own nails and was just curious if it was related.

I was diagnosed about 2 months ago with HPV, and I am unable to tell my husband. I don't know how to tell him, that I have exposed him before I found out, or he could have been the one that gave it to me. I don't know where I got it, but I have it. My doctor didn't tell me which strain I had just that I needed to come back in 4 months to repeat the pap test. I don't know if I have warts, or pre-cancer. I am going crazy. My mom was diagnosed with breast cancer 3 years ago. She had been undergoing chemo until last may. She mainly suffered from endema in one of her legs and loss of appetite. The loss of appetite was mostly early on, but she was able to get around on her own until a month ago.

The doctor switched her to injections in July and things seem to have taken a turn for the worse. She is very fatigued, the endema has now spread to her stomach, she can't walk anymore and the list goes on.

She didn't want to go back into the hospital, so my sister suggested to my mom that they call the ambulance, so that my mom could be taken to another hospital. My mom was very open to the idea, but she did not want to go back to the hospital where she's been treated for the last 3 years. The ambulance took her to a different hospital, but when the hospital called the hospital she had been going to, her doc had her transferred.

I'm driving 2 hours to see her tomorrow. What should I ask her doc?
