south beach diet is good for tachycardia. i've read in the past that it's better than atkins diet. it is being recommended for those with heart problems, also with rapid heartbeats. it improves your cholesterol level and at the same time makes you lose weight.

geesssh! i think my brother just needs one now!

You would want to talk to your doctor about what is right for you and do a stress test on what exercises you can do. Best exercise I found that can be done on all levels. Go to chairdancing.com The tape is 19.95 . My favorite is the 3rd or 4th one on the tape that you use paper plates with it. I know it looks really outdated and boring, but I promise you will love it. Just go to the plate section first. I couldnt believe the workout I did in my chair, yet it can be done at 3 levels! Even 80 year olds can do it, but talk to doctor first. Here is the description.>>only by this one because the other versions are not that good.

Chair Dancing® The Original Program is a fun and convenient way to get aerobic exercise and improve muscle tone and flexibility. You'll do the cha-cha, the can-can, a tap dance, and much more while seated comfortably on a chair. Originally scored music and up-beat choreography make Chair Dancing® the fitness program you'll look forward to doing regularly. Three exercise levels show you how to adapt the program to your current fitness ability. You'll continue to be challenged as your endurance improves. When you exercise the Chair Dancing® way, you'll enjoy aerobic fitness like never before! Running time: 45 min.

You should eat a lot of fiber and fruit. Actually if you look on the post brand cereal it has a heart healthy way to loose weight. What you do is eat the post cereal brand for two meals a day with a cup of fruit, then eat a healthy dinner. Fish has good fat for the heart, or eat something that you like. I have tried this diet with a daily exercises program such as walking, or yoga and I lost a lot of weight! I hope you are feeling okay and good luck with your weight lost!

I also have tachycardia and have had the same problem finding exercise that won't trigger it. The most successful method I've found is eating properly, lots of fruit & fibre, and walking. Yes, it can be boring, but walk your kids to the park, then walk laps around the park while you watch them, and so on. I personally have found that anything more than a brisk walk is enough to get my heart going too fast. The main thing is to do it regularly, try to do it 1/2 hour a day. I know that's hard for a busy Mom, but it's worth it in the end. I also found out that if I got a good walk in during the day, my heart was calmer for the rest of the day and I slept better. Slow & easy is key. Good luck to you!

Eat lots of fruits, fibres and try to fast. you might get weak for a few days but your body will recover

Do simple workout regulary like walking around your neighbourhood everyday for half an hour. do weights or join low impact martial art (taichi)

Be patient.....i know you can do it. Dont be too ambitious....set a lower targets like 10 pounds in a month....

hope this will help. Cant wait to hear good news from you soon!!!

You will get all kinds of crazy answers on this question and some of them will be hateful, so ignore them. What I am about to tell you is the truth.
1. remove the junk food from your house.
2. when you grocery shop. buy fresh fruit and veggies to snack
on and dont even go down the junk food isle because if it is in
your shopping cart and you take it home, you will eat it.
3. for breakfast have skim milk and cereal or oat meal and
splenda instead of bacon, eggs, pancakes and all of that
breakfast stuff.
4. for a snack in between breakfast and lunch eat a low fat
something such as a V-8, a peach, a breyers frozen fruit
popsicle, or a rice cake with about a tablespoon of low fat
cottage cheese on it. Maybe even a no fat chocolate cup
cake and a cup of skim milk.
5. eat salad or a big bowl of vegtables with no fat or low fat
dressing for lunch and maybe some cottage cheese or some
tuna for lunch
6. I always eat something dairy in the afternoon to keep my
appetite under control such as some skim milk with 2 or 3
small cookies like oreo's or no fat cookies. Even a cheese
stick and some low fat crackers to get me over the hump
7. drink lots of water if its ok with your doctor or find an
alternative drink such as iced tea with splenda.
8. Supper needs to be low fat. whatever you like. No red meats
bake instead of fry your foods. chicken breast is an excellent
meat to have with supper with something in the vegtable dept
You can always eat as many veggies as you want because
they have little or no fat. Cook them in their own water
no butter or margarine on the veggies.
9, have some fresh fruit to munch on when you feel like you
are going to cave in you can eat the fruits instead of
the very fatty foods.
