Yes, but when the person is older than a baby it is called Seborrhea. You can generally treat this condition with dandruff shampoos from the drug store. I find that using two different kinds of the dandruff shampoo and switching between them controls the symptoms much better than just one kind. The two I have had the best luck with are Head and Shoulders as well as Nizoral. Check out this website for further information/ products:

Is it quite cradle cap and not dandruff. i might try making use of an anti dandruff shampoo and notice E45 cream at night time. A cap will preserve his head and eyes from the solar.

My niece got cradle cap when she was ten because she slept with her hair in a pony tail while her hair was still wet...That is what the doctor called it ...so I guess they can get it at seven depends on the situation

I thought I was the only one who wanted to know the answer to this, but never asked. My daughter who just turned 8 is just now getting better. She has always had it and doctors always tell me not be concerned with it. I quit letting her wash her hair every day and it seems to have gotten a little better. By the way, I have tried every shampoo available and nothing helped.

i assume anyone of any age can... i would probably put polysporin on it... or talk to the doctor and he would prescribe another remedy...
