Just diagnosed, no advice from doc other than to take amitriptyline 10mg at night for pain and to help with sleep. Has anyone any other advice they would like to share? All responses appreciated.

I see my doctor tomorrow. I asked this question once but I think that I phrased it wrong. I have been having test done on a regular basis for the last 4 months. Today the nurse told me that the a1c test shows that my average blood sugar level was 129 for the last 3 months. I have high triglyceride levels. They were in the 400's now they are in the high 500's. I have changed my eating habits. I only dropped 15 lbs but I have lost 4 pants sizes. These results are worse than the ones I took before I made changes in my diet.
I have a slightly enlarged heart but my echo was normal. Do I need to be worried?

She says she has a reddish rash on her left side, beneath her breast, about where her liver would be.( I have not seen it, so I'm going by her description.) She says it's almost perfectly round, with whitish spots here and there that come and go--she says they look like dry skin, but the skin surface is smooth. It does not itch or hurt. She's seen a naturopath who gave her a liver tonic-type-thing--it didn't do anything. Also, she has briefly had the same thing occur on the same side of her body, about at the hipbone. So it's not really bothering her, but she's understandably worried. Does this ring a bell for anybody? What kind of doctor should she consult?

By the way, she has a very healthy lifestyle and diet.

Any ideas?? Thanks..

Singular will interfere with allergy skin testing? I don't think it will but I'm just not sure. Thanks all!

Iwent to my doctor who said they look like the menigitus rash and he done a glass test it worked but he said i didnt have menigitus.

Then i showed him the lumps and he said it looks like stings or measles or chicken pox but its not.
Basically he didnt have a clue but he gave me cream anyway but its not working.

These are all over my body and itch and sting like mad and they are also on the bottom of my foot so im walking on them too.

Has anyone else had this or know what it might be???

what would your decision be if a COPD patient suffered from smoke inhalation? i know that for a regular person, you would put the patient on a 100% non-rebreather (if there is no hyperbaric chamber around). but in my head, im still debating on what to prioritize when it comes to COPD. if we put the patient on 100%, this can trigger hypoventilation because of air-trapping, but if we don't put them on 100%, he can suffer from carbon monoxide poisoning.

what would your decision be? in school, i was taught that ventilation comes first before oxygenation. i just thought this topic is worth debating about... it's acute versus chronic.

just wondering if anyone else out there with a cracked, bad, or impacted wisdom tooth/teeth is having problems with the spped of they're heart... ive been completely healthy all my life up until only two things that i can think of that mightve had an effect on the speed of my heart quickening... and thats a recently broken and bad wisdom tooth or taking overdoses of mega vitamins.. im hoping its the wisdom tooth because i have heard or seen some things online that say bad wisdom teeth can be linked to heart arrythmias,, ( and this can be fixed by getting it taken out) but the vitamin overdoses that i think i took for a good 1 and a half to 2 years would probably be permanent... just wondering if anyone else out there with bad wisdom teeth are having any of the same effects that im having with my heart.. im thinking SINUS ARRHYTMIA sinuses are right above wisdom..ofcourse NO DOCTOR has the answers for me...doctors rarely about your health they're just overpaid drug/pill pushers..

I got a high fever and chills suddenly, and felt really drowsy and lacked energy. Soon after, I got a headache and mildly nauseous (without any throwing up) and had mild diarrhea, a sore throat and severe cramps in my stomach, and in a few days developed a blotchy non-raised, painless rash on my chest and stomach. I had no appetite for 3 days, and suddenly my appetite came back, in high-gear. The symptoms lasted about 5 days. I did a search and HIV acute infection repeatedly showed up, but I am not sexually active. What might it be? Since I'm not sexually active and the symptoms have stopped, should I still go to a doctor?

Insurance companies often treat autism as if it was a psychological condition to avoid paying insurance claims. My daughter needed general anesthesia to have a cavity treated by the dentist. The insurance company denied the claim stating: "General Anesthesia is not a treatment for autism". We appealed the claim and lost... :-(
