It involves feeding a patient of asthma with a live fish that has been in turn stuffed with some herbal remedy. As a single shot treatment it is claimed to be a cure for asthma.

Since asthma attacks has a large ingredient of anxiety factor, it will only be those that will be benefited who have this factor in proportionately higher percentage in their disease. The others, with true asthma, will never have any effect of a single "dose",
that would work lifelong. However, it does benefit those with anxiety related factors and therefore is useful to that extent as would accupunture, accupressure, aroma therapy and other alternative modalities of treatment and must be complemented with more scientific methods of management, especially in those who have true asthma.

Indian Medical Association are fighting for a ban on it the treatment involves putting medicine in a fishes mouth then inserting it into the patients mouth oooooo Yuk
