I was looking over ADHD and it sounds like something my son might have but not sure.

sit him in front of an xbox or playstation set....
if the kid can sit for a few hours and play video games he's probably fine and just doesn't want to listen or pay attention.
don't put your kid on mind altering drugs like ritalin if he really doesn't need it.

I think ADHD problem children are over active,restless and playful all the time.They never seems getting tired and never sit on one place.Lack of paying attension too.Don't know what made you think that your son has ADHD tho.

It is different with different kids, the way i have found it is when they are constantly hyperactive, but it's a different hyperactive than them just being excited...its a continual thing...or you could ask a doctor
