I got a high fever and chills suddenly, and felt really drowsy and lacked energy. Soon after, I got a headache and mildly nauseous (without any throwing up) and had mild diarrhea, a sore throat and severe cramps in my stomach, and in a few days developed a blotchy non-raised, painless rash on my chest and stomach. I had no appetite for 3 days, and suddenly my appetite came back, in high-gear. The symptoms lasted about 5 days. I did a search and HIV acute infection repeatedly showed up, but I am not sexually active. What might it be? Since I'm not sexually active and the symptoms have stopped, should I still go to a doctor?

Panic attack, the flu, food poisoning...it could be anything. The symptoms of HIV/AIDS are very scary because they are similar to many other illnesses. I would go to the doctor if the symptoms persist.
