No, homosexual MALES that have ANAL SEX are more likely to contract HIV. This is for a number of reasons. The first is that there is more likely to be tearing in the rectum which allows a entry point for the virus. Second males in general are more promiscuous than females, more partners = increased odds of transmission. Rough vaginal sex would be the next most likely way to contract the virus as it too causes tearing which allows for an access point. Oral sex, and manual stimulation both are less likely means of contracting the virus. The virus would have to enter the body through a sore or cut in the mouth or skin of the hands. But back to the nitpicky answer you said a gay person. Lesians would be at a markedly lower risk of contraction due to the lack of having a penis ejaculating inside them. But the behaviors and histories involved in each individual is going to be the bigest issue. Two gay men that have only had eachother as partners and don't engage in other risky behaviors are much less likely to contract the virus then a heterosexual couple that is not monogamonous and where both parties are intravenous drug users.
*as an asside I personaly feel people are WAY too scared of this virus, yea be safe but don't be phobic. You are much more likely to meet your end in a car accident then from HIV/AIDS but do people freak out every time they get in a car?
Also interestingly enough there is a population that has little to no suceptibility to the virus due to the lack of a surface protien required for the virus to take hold. It is thought the mutation became more prevolent in europe during the bubonic plague as the plague had the same mechinism and would kill off those lacking the trait.

Homosexual males have a statistically higher percentage of being infected with HIV than heterosexual males. This generally stems from:

a) lower percentage use of condoms per interaction
b) sexual activity (anal) include contact with infected areas (both the penis and the anus)
c) homosexual males are generally more promiscuous than heterosexual males, even in long-term relatinonships

Thus, there is no real higher vulnerability in the body to HIV in a homosexual than in a heterosexual, but the lifestyle a homosexual leads precludes him to a higher chance of HIV infection.

HIV first appeared in the male homosexual population, no one is really sure why. But because homosexuals tend to only have sex with other homosexuals, it spread first among homosexuals and so therefore there are more of them with HIV than heterosexuals. But anyone can get it (no one is immune) and everone should take precautions. The biggest risk factor is the number of sexual partners you have. So a heterosexual female who sleeps with a different guy every month has a higher risk than a homosexual male who has been with the same partner (and faithful to him) for 10 years.

Well technically yeah because Gay guys are more sexually active than straight guys. Plus its the disease is more likely to be in gay guys but straight guys still have a risk just not as great as Gay guys.

No, that is not true.

Every human being is at risk if he practices risky behaviour like –
Having unprotected sexual contact with infected person or with someone whose HIV status is unknown.
Shares drug needles or syringes;
Does not care to ensure that the blood transfused to him is from a HIV-free person;
Does not care to ensure that the injection he has got in a hospital or dispensary is by a syringe or needle which is either disposable or is totally disinfected;
Does not care to see that the barber has replaced his blade.

Whoever said no, is naive. AIDS stands for Anally Injected Death Sentence for a reason. Think about it. Just count the number of heteros who have it verses how many gay men have it. Read this and learn more:
